no oil pressure. HELP!

Recommended Posts

Ok so I swapped my 7mgte into my x7 and started up. Ran rough, though it was compression but firing order was fucked up. Hooked it up right. Ran good. Next I go and hook up the mechanical oil pressure gauge. No pressure. Wtf! Checked the turbo feed. None there too. I do have a oil relocation kit and double checked it. Theres oil in the filter so the pump must be working. Any ideas why no pressure? Help the retard out plz.

Wrong forum for 7M questions.

Warned you.........

Now take the hate that will follow !

P.S. There is something wrong, like maybe your oil pressure sender, or it's wiring is fucked up.

Or that cheap 7MGTE was cheap for a reason.

revving it up was actually a joke. if you have no oil in your turbo oil feed line or the return line i would say some shits clogged. try removing you doofy oil relocation thingy mabobber and see if the car gets oil like it was designed to first off.

FUCK! That oil relocation kit was the last p.o.s I wanted to take off. Guess its gotta happen

But yeah just a trial and error. start and turn off if i have pressure from both pressure switch and turbo feed. None. My dumbass did rev it a bit when i got it to start.. before I found out no oil pressure. Im a fuckin retard I tell ya.

are the lines for the filter plumed the right way?

also take off the cam covers so see if you already smoked the motor.

try dumping a gallon of antifreeze into the oil fill. it's going to happen anyway, and you're only delaying the inevitable.

Ok, so the piece of shit shoots oil out of all its holes after I took off the relocation kit. Im guessing maybe there wasnt enough oil (6 qts) or most likely the cheap filter relocation junk took a shit on me.

Btw fuck you all very much for the help. ;)

The old saying is: 95% of all 7M problems are caused by the owner.

Hope you didn't hurt the rod bearings.

Did your relocation kit include a cooler with a thermostat ?

So... you didnt think of putting more oil in the car when you added more passages for the oil to go through?

Next time just drop the oil pan, run the car and see how many times it drips within 10 minutes.

Then try the same thing at 5500RPM

Results are self explanatory.
