Chitown WaGN....project from hell

Recommended Posts

got stopped by a lexus driver, asked about the car and he thought it was the toyota engine.....

so two 3 to 1 merges into a 2 to1 with equal length piping does sound like the I6

it sounds nothing like any other 3800/3.8 buick cars

i have to rewire the OD switch but once i do the TCC ive been testing will be connected to it.

i can cruise at 65mph at 2400rpm instead of nearly 3000.... so there's that.

i weighed down the ass end by putting a skid of 2000lbs of steel in the back with a torn up MSC catalog above the tires to push the lip up and out, nearly got it to do a wheelie.

no longer slicing up the sidewalls of the MT ET streets....however i noticed the "pop" sound i heard....appears to be that i popped EVERY one of the lower rocker stainless trim clips while i was probably flexing the hell outta the unibody.

it at least appears that the land cruiser guys use the same clips and they are available....

fix one problem create another.....i love what you do to me, toyota

Well, if you say so...
To me, it sounds more like a '64 Corvair with a FlowBastard muffler. post-3787-0-18291100-1365188231.jpg

Well after a good bit of work everything appears to be doing good so I'm going to be driving this jalopy from Chicago Illinois to just south of Flint Michigan for the buick v6 gathering....June 19th

Flint was the home of the factory that made all of the Buick 3.8 & 3800 V6's

I will be driving via tachometer to gauge my speed and everything else I'm going to cross my fingers but hopefully all of the Toyota electrical glitches don't leave me stranded somewhere since I'm pretty sure it won't be the Buick engine or GM trans that will leave me stuck somewhere....I hope.

I'm going to cross my fingers and kiss my ass goodbye.

Wish me luck or wish me to spontaneously combust while driving the Toyota. Either way it's technically my first vacation in years.

He's actually really mild compared to some of the locals.

Verbal Jabs at your kidneys, liver and gut's are pretty damn common at the car shows.

Then again some of them have spent nearly $1,000 on a set of lug nuts....so their opinions are worth 0.01 cents.

Well this turd made it into Michigan let's see if it makes it to Ann Arbor and after that up to Flint.

Hopefully, it won't go up in flames before you get there, so it can take other Puick V6s with it.
Honestly, I wish you thee best of luck.

You should live stream, just in case. anim_lol.gif

So, are you being shunned at the Puick get together?

You know, I and everyone else would give you more respect if you had put that engine in a '66 Buick Special wagon, or put a hyper 4AG into the X7.
But we all make poor choices in life. I once asked a girl to marry me...

Actually it's been getting a hell of a lot of attention I tried to upload a picture from when it first showed up and it's always had a crowd around it almost all day.

Non-stop questions I kind of wish I knew more about the mx62 chassis aside from front brakes smaller than the 2-door Coupe and the rear axle that might as well have toothpicks in the axle tubes

I remember when I was like 8 years old, going to the state fair, and there being a large lines at the freak shows.
Just human nature...

I went to the Buick Club of America meet in Lisle Illinois and boy Gordo you're missing your calling with Grumpy Old Men.

I will admit all of them had their wives trained well to answer questions.

So many old farts taking a 1908 Buick twin-cylinder out for Joyrides. I swear to God I was expecting a bingo game to break out somewhere.
