So finally got moved into my place just south of Calgary... Finally have a garage.... Now finally able to start working on the 90. Got it gutted and will be working on interior/exterior until my LS1/T56 shows up. Finished up day 1 today.... Day Two will consist of picking up Alex Lee's x100 front clip from his 81 and an ass-load of body work to get it repaired from his wall incident in Irwindale. Then on to making it fit.

stripped the dash and got it fitted, still waiting for Alex to get back from Lethbridge to pick up that front clip... so im just passing the time.

So finally got the front clip from alex this evening. Got it back to my place and mocked it up to see what kind of work/mods i'll need to do in the next couple days to get it proper.

So took another look at the budget, and if I want to drive this year, I can't do an LS1, so I went and picked up an LT1 this morning to build. Some might say nyan nyan nyan hate hate hate, but id rather be driving this year then staring at a car in my garage with an empty engine bay. Hopefully Next year i'll upgrade when I can afford it.

Be better to compare to the 1j n/a that was in it. Heads + cams + ebay supercharger will make the LT1 half decent for a single season, and inexpensive.. Also again, better to have seat time then sitting in my garage all year. I'm working on a tight budget so yeah, I'm just happy ill get to drive the thing at all.

With the money your going to dump on that shit you'd have been better off doing a carbed sbc with marine heads and NA.

Did you already have that POS motor? For conversions sake, LQ9 or whatever those iron block LSx is...they're CHEAP as and your LSx swap is done. I'll take the extra weight now to have a simple upgrade to Al block next season.

Pretty sad how easily people can destroy such nice cars.

 

I remember looking at Alex lees when import concern had it. Was a pretty sweet rig, now destined for scrap.
