Honky Enterprises MX83 Gauge Mounts

Recommended Posts

finally got the prototype faceplate test fitted and tested - turned out better than I could have hoped. Basically delete the ashtray an cig lighter - shift the radio down one DIN (factory holes allow for this) Then fill the remaining space with 3 52mm gauges after trimming the console faceplate...

I wanted to see if you guys would be interested in this if I made a batch of them.. it is not as straight forward as the clock replace kits... these require some fine tuning (dremel tool probably required). as you can see the gauges are really shoehorned in there. Not all gauges are the exact same size - so the two outer holes need to be tweaked. The V1 greddys are a perfect match IMO.

let me know what you think....

thinking the same price as my other kit will be fine - 30 bucks plus shipping... this one is more materials but it is also more work to install

good daylight shot -

OK - seems to be interest enough to make a batch of these. I need to tweak the template some to hopefully keep the dremel work to a minimum at install. That means getting some time on the laser cutter for some test cuts... should be just a week or so.

The trick will be selecting gauges that have a minimum delta between the housing itself and the front trim of the gauge. that way they can all be side by side with their trim rings touching.

I am also working on some install guidelines with pictures like I did with the clock replace kits..

still trying to get some time on the laser cutter... it is at the place i used to work - so I have to go through a buddy of mine that still works there. I have to unfortunately acquiesce to his availability. I sent him the file to run the test cuts - hope to hear back from him anytime now.

OK guys - first off , thanks for being patient.

UPDATE: I have done a few rounds of test cuts to tweak the template to minimize or eliminate dremmel work and I very pleased with the outcome. I am getting a batch of the final templates cut this week and can ship next week.

PRICING: the materials are about double the amount used in the clock replace mount which is $38 shipped.... I am thinking $45 shipped for these center console mount kit is about right, if someone wants both the clock replace kit and the center console kit together: $75 shipped

FIRST BATCH PRICING: the first 9 center console kits will be $40 shipped - after that, the above pricing will take effect. Shoot me a PM for paypal info or any questions.

thanks again guys....
