My bitch in the making...

Recommended Posts

Has been a while since any sort of an update. These are all older photos now, but I figured, what the hell, let's keep this going.

Pressure washed the bay.

Mirrors for an E36, just need to drill some holes. Thanks to Roy for that one.

And a test fire. This was taken open header, pre exhaust. I didn't run it long because the radiator wasn't installed yet.

Like the rear sway bar solution.

What material is it ?

Header around steering column reminds me when I put a truck header on my 20R/Corona MkII.

Thanks Gordo. The bar is made from scrap hydraulic tube stock. A buddy of mine works at a local hydraulic shop and brought it home. The ends are just flat stock. Had the poly bushings from a master kit for an s chassis and some aluminum bar stock. The bushing retainers are bent from flat stock also.

Was the best option for something homemade available at the time. Need to get shorter links, or mod the current ones to make them adjustable. My original rear bar was literally rusted in two.

The header was the best quick solution I could think of at the time. Tried modding the factory one, but it was a disaster.

Yea, Roy gets the props for sure. I personally prefer these over the M3 style. They look more along the lines of Ganador style.

Agreed. Not my best work I admit. The shop I did all the work in I no longer have. All of the under side was literally thrown together as fast as possible while I still had access to a lift and space.

My original plan was to do a full tigged stainless front to back. I was working against time unfortunately. But it can always be done better the second time around.
