pingpong8989 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2011 i finally installed my jdm headlights. the problem im having is the jdm ones use a h4 bulb rated at 60/55w and they are very dim. so i changed the h4 with new ones and still having the same issue. i want to run a higher watt bulb, but i've read that requires new wiring because factory wires cant handle the load. i might end up going bi-xenon HID. did anyone here run into the same problem? was wondering how you guys fixed it. btw these headlights are the ones that fit US cressidas without bodywork, like rayray's
EDub 0 Report post Posted November 1, 2011 Yea, those lights suck on the actual car they come from..Basically when I drove the Mark II the fogs were always on at night. It made a world of difference.
Guest DuaxMachine Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Maybe you are using some cheap crap H4 bulbs....... I have Piaa bulbs in mine, and they will burn the eye balls out of on coming drivers.

EDub 0 Report post Posted November 2, 2011 Yea, I was using those retarded sylvania H4's that were like 65$ and only come as a pair..and of course they burn out every 6 months so you have to go back to the store and bust the package open and pocket one... You're better off getting a cheapo HID kit..
Guest Bomboclaat! Report post Posted November 2, 2011 orrrr u could run on the lights a relay with ceramic bulb holders so it doesnt melt the holders, and use 100/90w bulbs... just saying

rayray 0 Report post Posted November 7, 2011 i'm using the stock bulbs that came in my head lamps. granted, they aren't HID's... but they put a better beam pattern down than the stockers. wouldn't necessarily say they are brighter however as they are identical in power my best experience with aftermarket bulbs were PIAA. they were the xtreme white's. i never liked the weird blue you get at certain angles when looking at the housing though...
