Sedan Life: ...sigh, fucking M motors

Recommended Posts

So I was halfway to the airport to finely go see my girl after 2 months of celibacy save porn just cruising at 3500rpms, when an explosive thunk, bell ringing sound startled me. All of a sudden I gots no power. Pull over and try to restart... Starter works great but not the motor.

Well I'll be picking up my rims and another 5m ($150) down in Atlanta this weekend. Thus begins my side quest to keep it running.

Happy Halloweeny

I appreciate the offer. Atlanta has like 5 pull a parts. I don't understand how they work and I can't get them on teh phone. It's $150 for a 6 cylinder engine but what the fuck does that include? I need everything. not a long block, not most of things, everything. the ecu is only like $20 but if they say long block and then $20 for every other thing bolted to it, fuck that.

You go in with tools, pull the motor with everything you want still attatched, and they charge you 150, and you can get a warranty for extra. Here, we never get charged for ghe accessories if they are still bolted to the block. They will charge for ecu/wiring harness though.

^will do this. Got to get together with my friend with the pickup. My friend said if the car is not totaled that I should bring a battery and hotwire it cuz then it's either a bad motor or tranny.

We got this motor running again (blew timing belt and the boom was detonation in the intake), but I went on the highway today and it made some loud "knocking" noise for 30 seconds and stopped. so only to work and school while crossing fingers.

i see that you also have a 4.3 if you cruse at 3.5k rpm haha

to make shit better. On the way down to pick up my chick.... The starter decided it was gonna crap out. Not even clicking noises just nothing...

Ahahaha so every time me and my chick would stop to get gas we would have to push start it..

she doesnt even care she thinks its fun!

I think i won

haha

i always grab motors out of totalled cars. unless its a bmw, main relay ftw. i recommend bringing a compression tester. few problems with hotwire-and-start it plan...

1. the keys are rarely ever in the car.

2. gastank is cut at every pull a part i've ever been too.

3. no oil in engine

4. no batteries, gasoline, oil, or torches allowed...

so you need to sneak in a battery, some thick wire, a quart of oil, and pray you don't get caught turning it over by starter with the battery trying to compression test it. but if you pull that off, your good to go.
