Guest zOmBiEsTyLe Report post Posted July 5, 2011 Just got a quick question on the X90 1JZ the belt driven pump for the hydraulic fan, I smashed my front end and the fan is less than salvageable so Im going with a thin electric fan to replace the hydro fan, I haven't had a lot of time lately to take a good look at it, but the question I have is, can I just remove the hydro fan pump or does it actually run something else? And another newb question, where is the water pump on a 1JZ? Again i apologize for the bewb questions, this is my first Toyota 6 cyl engine, I can rebuild a Nissan RB or SR with my eyes closed but for some reason toots engines escape me, even when I had m 4AG corolla, took me 14 hrs to do a head gasket..... I think Toyota service manual says 6 hrs...
