Guest Skitzo Report post Posted November 8, 2011 Copped another work order on the X90. So have had to return it to stock to be inspected. Looks so fucking gay. Also, it looks like i am picking this up on the weekend. Stock GLX. Genuine 75,000kms. Going to accept the challenge of running this as a daily due to the cost to run the x90 everyday, as well as the police attention. Thinking ill look into throwing a metal headgasket and studs at it straight away to be safe. When i have some spare coin laying around, may receive coilovers and rims. When it dies, 2JZ-GE? Anton 0 Report post Posted November 9, 2011 fuck yeah man, x8 good choice for a daily, when your ready for coilovers lemme know let you drive mine see how my BC's feel
Gibbs 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 dont waste money into that 7m man just got 2jzge right aways its worth it
Guest Skitzo Report post Posted November 10, 2011 I wish i could go 2JZ straight away, but finishing single turbo conversion on the x90 so i can do fully sick skids is priority atm. New thermostat, rad cap, full clean on cooling system, toyota red, metal gasket and arp studs shouldn't set me back too much. Have to do more reseaerch on the bearing issue though. Guest Skitzo Report post Posted February 9, 2012 The x90 is getting the turbo and shit put on atm. As for the X83.... Well it is no longer. Got taken out in an accident last week. Rear ended and pushed into oncoming traffic. B pillar and rear door cut out so the paramedics couold slide me out. Pretty sure the dude was chekcing out some gash on the footpath and didn't realise i was stationary. Probably kharma for putting average spec rims on it. Getting paid out $700 bucks more than i paid for it by the other blokes insurance company. I'm checking out a JZX83 on the weekend. Worst of the injuries, split open knee. Still can't walk n shit. Guest Skitzo Report post Posted March 22, 2012 Picked up the new daily to replace the smashed Cressida. As for the 90. We started doign the highmount install. Took the rear housing off to get ceramic coated and found this. Bag O' Dicks. Priced up a new cartridge and is gonna cost around a k. Sticking with the fucked turbo for now because i'm going to be running around untuned for a bit until my guy doing this has set up his Dyno. I put in a pump and 440cc injectors as well, so it should be pretty safe. An AFR check will be in order though. We cut out the back of the stock box, and got a metal plate/flange laser cut to suit the 4" intake. Picture of the turbo installed. As you can see the manifold puts it on a bit of an angle. Mate, Tom had trouble getting the intake to fit using mandrel bent bits. So this was his solution. it's so beautiful. Tom also did the dump and front pipe Can't wait to pick her up, crack gate and get another defect.
Guest Skitzo Report post Posted June 11, 2012 Turbo is still stuffed Still untuned Boot and bootlip still not on Brakes still not on Factory Aero purchased but needs fibreglassing/painting Shit is delayed due to spontaneous trip to Japland in August for Ebisu Drift Matsuri. Funds are goign towards that atm. Looks like i'm getting a new job (fingers crossed), so should see a decent payrise and this thing being finished soon enough. It drives though.
