lucas 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2011 where can i learn more about that supra what do you want to know? ^ and why is it running distributor? if I recall, because its running something such a powerful ignition system (I want to say 10 amps). Enough juice to fry any coil on plug setup.
Mitch 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2011 it's running a custom MSD ignition setup, 2 amps! JZ runs about 1.6 to 1.8milli amps max. Basically he can run a 30/thou spark plug gap and still run 42psi, think of an arc welder running through your spark plugs.
Mitto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 OK guys just putting this out there. When are you seriously going to make x8 adj RUCA? You cant say there isn't enough interest to warrant making them, that's BS. Beech can make a set similar to the one's below but charge's more than the price of your rear adj arm kit and thats before shipping... While I understand that this is Beech's design and all I dont see why you guys at XM cant do something similar. All it would need is a replaceable ball joint and dual adjustment like your RLCA comes with... I'm not trying to be douche, if it comes across that way I apologise. I need this shit as I know many other's do too, not just on this forum either... Really look forward to your reply. Cheers, Mitch
ROBAPHENT 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 LOL There my arms
Bowlsclubboy 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 mitto, why dont you just buy robs arms? his car will never go again anyway.
Mitto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Yeah I stole that picture from your post rob haha. I just want to get rid of my hella camber out back without having to compress the drive shafts or run fucking stretched to all fuck tyre's. While I should just buy beech's arm's I know i'd want to mess with the adjustment's and cant be fucked having to pull the arm's off everytime I feel like playing speed racer... aphxero 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 The smart thing to do would be to make the balljoint have a slider. Look atsome of the more popular aftermarket FUCA for double wishbone cars.
Mitto 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Im not really a fan of those setups. While I realise they're a "tried and tested" popular design I just dont like the way the slider "locks" into place...
Bowlsclubboy 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 Serrations/notches with numbered marks on the slider would be boss.
ROBAPHENT 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2013 HAHA My car will just sit in yard. as hard parking is cool these days and you dont need a engine for that. If i had to design my own arms i would do what Troy said with say Zero as the stock adjustment and then maybe 5mm. as for adjustment i think the way to do it would be adjust the top a tad longer then stock one and then use the lower arms for all the other adjustment.
