woah that wastegate setup fucking sucks. Were there space constraints that you had to move it so far out?

why does the wastegate setup suck? I moved it out that far because I wanted easy access to it, wanted it recircd, and there was almost no room because of where the steering rack sits on Aristo's.

 

Either way, this thread is not about my 147, it's about the 161 which is now running with a GTE VVTi engine...please see video posted above.

car runs and drives great. fucking sucks driving it in winter though, shit spins every time i accelerate. running super low boost for now, can't wait for winter to go away so i can toss the summer wheels on, crank up the boost, tune it and drive the piss out of it.

so those piece of shit twins blew up tonight, never install used stock turbo's on your car that have been sitting for a few years.

 

 

i would bolt the T51 on, but i need a manifold.

 

 

I got a T78 laying around and a twin scroll manifold, so I'm gonna throw that on this sunday

get a RPS manifold for that t51 that would be a killer setup in a killer car.

umm no. RPS manifolds weren't designed to flow enough to support a T51R. RPS also doesn't make a v-band manifold. The turbine inlet is 99.1mm.

 

I'm going to get a vband manifold, single scroll, that was designed to flow enough for the T51, mild steel flanges, 304 schedule 10 1.75" headers.

 

 

After I've spent all this money on quality parts for my car, why would i cheap out on a shit manifold?

Cosworth built a 2jz with that hks T51r pushing 900hp? Isaw it here.

The T78 will get me through the rest of winter and give me time to put all my parts together before the T51R. I need to grab an HKS GT2 wastegate, 1000cc injectors, bigger fmic, and an Fcon Harness so i can put my Vpro in and tune this bitch.

 

I'm going to get a Boostlogic A340E Stage 2 tranny as well, they're in development and going to be able to hold 1000whp.

 

Done with fucking around. 700whp daily driver is the new goal.
