weighed the bitch tonight. 2740 with a full tank and sitting around 51-52% over the rear. I figure lexan/acrylic the rear windows and drop the power stuff in the rear doors, maybe do a little cutting and I could drop a little more weight and get it at a 50/50. Though that being said... diamonds are on the rear. and they're heavy as fuck and I won't be skidding on them often. But wait... I don't really care about weight or weight distribution... neat!

Then a real project, giving the front some form of temporary real suspension and not just blown shocks w/ no springs.

Cut the spring perchs and cleaned up the old housings:

cut 45mm out of the casing

I'm pretty bummed at the height it sits at. Got hella Formula D anti-rake going on. But this is temporary, I just wanted to get it driving for the drift day last weekend. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to test it out because of the axle, but on the highway driving there and back it felt way better than it did before.

For comparison... vs stock.

oh yeah... started converting to x6 quads. Did one side. looks terrible. Not finishing it. Unfortunately, had to ruin the stock x7 housing to mount the quads so I cant even put an x7 headlight back in unless I buy another whole assembly. whatever. It's a beater anyway, i guess it adds to the look a bit... I can always use my headlight covers to hide it. All lights are fully functional Also added a lip to offset the height up front a little for now.

Then I brought it to the track!

Snapped an axle on my first lap doing a warmup burnout. Dope. So I guess a more efficient rear end is next on the list. Shitty Borg Warner 7.1 is worse than a corolla sr5 lol.

If you want more of those 5 spoke 15s I know a buddy with 2 sets, both in good shape, one set mint and polished. One set of 15x7 0, and one set of staggered 15x7 0 and 15x8 -15. I doubt he wants a ton for them and could ship them Greyhound from Ottawa for cheap.

AJPS Challengers? I might be interested in the 15x8's, but have no use for the 15x7's.

The wheel fitment with the red ones looked good. Cut springs....... well we all learn that one at sometime.

Both of those were the product of little to no money. I hate the red wheels, I like my ajps, though they are a little skinny... but now my fenders are rolled for those dumb diamonds and now I have to run spacers to get them out there. I think I may just cut and completely re-do the fenders in the rear (and get rid of the rust at the same time) and get new fenders up front. Maybe this car still has a chance at being fancy and clean.

Also, i'll take the cut springs I have now over the no springs I was running before.
