a little more progress, man handled the 7m out with a couple of friends and no engine lift and cleaned the engine bay from that ancient gunk.

does anyone have any info on some DIY engine mounts?

small update. so i got these 240/ka24 mounts from my friend for a great price and decided to use them on my build.

ao53x2.jpg

as you can see they are about the same height as the stock ones FTW.

2lkr1qu.jpg

here is the difference, the 240 mounts have the bolts slightly offset.

2rq0bjk.jpg

so all i did was use a dremel to compensate for the slight offset. it should have the mount sitting where it needs to be.

will post the final result once the exesive brackets show up. i repainted the bracket i moded for a little rust protection as well.

thanks mang. im trying to build it right the first time, its my only car so i cant afford down time once its done. im done with the JZ harness, the only missing part is the E10 plug for the aristo ECU. i did a little research and turns out most 90s lexus models came with the plug BYYYAAAAAAAA!!!

anyway only couple of parts i still need are a clutch kit and intercooler/piping.
