How to make a LHD clutch master cyclinder for x83

Recommended Posts

Font forget, the mk2 clutch pedal is as close to bolt on for an x8 known to the jzx community. The holes in the firewall all line up. Somebody should rip out a clutch pedal out of a toyota pick up and see how that works in a cressida.

AND, if u cant find a mk2 clutch pedal(couldnt find any 5spd mk2 supras at the yard), you can slot the one hole that needs slotting on a mk3 pedal. lol

Uh,, yeah, or that.. LOL. I swear, the simplest shit. Sometimes doesn't even cross my mind. If you would've said you couldn't find an mk2 pedal and your desprate, I was gonna have you cut the fire wall out of a mk3 and weld it on your cress so the pedal fits ;)

Damn, this is some good info. What do you guys do with your fuse block that is supposed to occupy that spot? I took my bracket for the fuse block off and have it just sitting in that spot with MKIII cmc/pedal.

Yeah, no prob.

If you want to make a "Cressida" one, use a hybrid 4Runner cmc with a IS300 resivoir just like posted on page 1.

okay I got a x7 pedal and I try to put it my x8 the whole lined up but it look like the pedal sit to low like there no room for pushing the pedal down. Does this mean that I need to get the mk2 pedal?

pretty common problem when people install any kind of pedal in the cressida.

I dont know about the x7 pedal, but ive installed both mk2 and mk3 pedals.

Usually when you dont have pedal travel, 90% of the time its because one of the boxes under your dash for your electronics is blocking it, preventing some travel.

Double check under there and remove it and duct tape or zip tie it away securely
