Having a 'normal' car depending on what your perspective is DOESNT WORK. It always turns into an out of control spiral into the abyss of doubt, depression and uncertainty. Unless a person wants to be a societal robot. Then by all means.

There's more to it than just the reliability issue. It's also a pain in the dick to own something that really sticks out in our city because the traffic division of our city police are total cunts to anyone with a modified car, and at their total discretion your car will get pulled off the road and require a full mechanical inspection. It's a lot like what Australia sounds like. My car was pulled off the road in 2013 for the wheels/tires being too flush, being too low, not having a shift pattern displayed, and not having daytime running lights. They will use any excuse to pull your car off the road. So now I've had to re fit all my stock parts, raise it up a bunch, re-align it so that it comes within factory spec etc etc. As soon as I get it passed and put it back to the state I would want it to be in, the same shit will happen again, and again etc.

Plus, living somewhere that the climate varies so much means our roads are shit, which makes them brutal to drive for cars like mine. I'm also about a 6 hour drive away from any decent tracks (drifting a shitty oval gets old really quick).

Daily driver right now is an E36 with 60,000 original km on it. I'm definitely contemplating throwing some coilovers in it and making that the street/drift car once my JZX is gone, or might replace it with a stock JZX100. IDKWTF.

Canada is fucked. It's literally an issue only in certain townships with certain pd's (or rcmp). And they pretty much leave it to the disgression of the officer, or group of officers very VERY few of which have HALF a clue. And they'll gang up on certain demographics. Did I say Canada was fucked?

Wow that's way worse than my town here in oregon. They just pull over import cars that have fart cans on the back. Since I have veteran plates on my car I don't get messed with much. Plus it helps that if they run my license plate it comes back as owned by a LEO.

San Antonio is really cool, I seldom get pulled over, even when I had the misfortune of having a cruiser pull up along side of me at a stop light on a grade.

With the big cam 7M / high stall converter set up was impossible to not chirp the tires in that situation, and my exhaust is just short of deafening. The officer paid it no mind.

I can be running around after midnight, on one of our loops, at 80, and a cop will come up behind me, and will pass on by. Probably headed for something more important, like free donuts.

When my son & I got pulled over for some stop light shinaigans (we were both out trying to find someone to race, and just happened to end up next to each other at a red light), the officer went by me, pulled him over, then flagged me down, walked up, asked me if he was trying to race me. I said 'I don't think so'. He waved me on, and I got the fuck out of Dodge. He then asks my son the same question, and Alex replies, 'yeah' !

The officer asks him if he knew me, and he replies 'Yeah, that's my dad'.

The officer realized that he was loosing a hopelss battle, and let him go also.

lol I wish I could but it's not easy to start out fresh in a new city as a junior lawyer when you have little to no potential clients. Not worth it for me to move somewhere where the cops aren't cunts just to drive a cool car without getting harassed. Would rather stay here and make good money and bring a class action against the traffic division for harassment on behalf of a big group of car enthusiasts instead hahaha

fuck you. how about from last week?

Last week, like every other week for the past 8 months, has been spent finishing the last year of my law degree.

Plus it's Canada, so last week it was also still snowing.

COOL STORY.

I don't know how you've managed to fist your way through school. I've been thinking about going back. Then it moves on to what. Then it moves on to what a farce society is and the systems we're forced to get a degree for just so we can get a job in a job that we hate for money that isn't worth our time. And then I want to slit my wrists. Which I do anyways. But really. Fuck that. It seems way better convincing it's a good idea to actually spend money on the electrical in their homes and commercial buildings so they can benefit from A increased property value and B actually being able to fucking see. And yet some of them really think I'm trying to rob them when it's a benefit. You'll be dealing with people who think your trying to swindle them out of their loins and money instead of just money. Have fun!

Fucking trippy I was just talking about you with another SK dude yesterday.

Sucks about letting the car go but fuck it, school is worth it in the long run.

I went to school... I don't hate my job?

Chris what about your car from last/this week ;)

dunno what it's like in canada but im waiting to feel that Bern stateside before i make my plans to finish my education. i just paid off my existing student loans so now im ready to undertake more debt so i can be a slave to the man for the next 10-20 years eking out a living for myself so i can spend my golden years having the money to score that tight 18y/o pussy but not the physical ability to perform to those standards.

3 hours in a week is a lot I'm not disagreeing with you there.

Real talk though I can deliver those parts for you though ;)

I know it's a lot.

PS theres roughly a 0% chance bern will get in when you wanna tax the upper bracket that hard? But maybe I don't fully understand what the term lobbying means
