NOBODY HAD 7/8s heater hose for the twin's oil return line... Wack! Just need to finish grinding the motor mounts i bought which didnt line up... rubbed like 3 different places and even when i got it to sit flush the holes didnt line up.. sketchy stuff... so ya tomorrow finish the last mount! then start the bashing!! anyoe got tips on pounding the 1j + stock twins + r154 for an x7? JimmyHoffa 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 I wouldn't use heater hose for the oil return, go to a truck (like tractor trailer) supply place or heavy equipment place, they have 7/8 oil hose. The guy at the local place here almost always gives it to me for free because I only ever need a foot or less at a time and he can't be bothered to print a bill. WhoreMouth_Jr 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 Ended up going with some sort of wet marine exhaust tubing for the oil dump. i went to hydra-air and took um like 30 minutes to find a 7/8ths hose that would be good enough to take hot oil. After a day's worth of bashing finnally got the motor mounts to line up!!! fuck yes! ha just missed a small spot on the passenger side in the well and then the trans mount should line up too! Only worry is how the intercooler is gonna get any air straped up behind the poor bumper. mocked it up today only an inch above and below the bumper are exposed once its mounted and such =( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Just needs Fluid, Piping, and wirng =) Just wondering really ... is itbad if there is a gap on each side of my radiator threw the normal hole? kinda hard to explain. But since i got a 2 row jzx90 rad. its a not as wide (left tor right) but its a little taller. Im thinking of using thin metal and covering the sides doubleing as Channel for air and extra mounting support oh snap also whats this extra plug for? im unable to find a pin out for it and the previous guy has a few wires to it Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

WhoreMouth_Jr 0 Report post Posted January 3, 2011 my girlfriends uncle got me hook up on exhaust while i was away for school: straight pipe turbo downpipe back with brand new muffler $120 deals Also scored these for deals from a friend of mine(My girlfriend actually found my interest on facebook and secretly went and got them for me as a side christmas present =) ) while i still save for serialnine(keep dreaming haha) $150 Interior remains intact got a shift extender because the shifter was cut and welded too short for me haha... Cheap wheel i got free from a friend until i can afford a nice one. And also free double din from another friend haha But with all the good comes bad... After install the megan stuffs, took it for a test drive drove a little to hard from 1st to 2nd and the diff ate itself (knew it wasnt gonna be long) guess its back to stock open for me =( ANNNND come to find the nipple for the overflow from my koyo rad was cracked and broke off today =( But its all good cause it was pointing to the front of the car and thats probably why it broke anyway.. Got my random engine ignition failure solved, it was a bad IGF pin on the ecu plug, thanks to a good friend of mine with extra strong wire gremlin spray the car runs all cherry now! Since ive been home this summer: Installed hood pins Fixed intercooler to get better flow Fixed little shit here and there thats been nagging at me Started cleaning up my mess of wiring under the hood. Got my interrior back together =) heres some pictures off the BS Im currently trying to buy BC front coil overs and get my 5 lug in the rear figured out so i can pick up jacob's rims haha heres a shitty video i took trying to capture my fuel cut (i think) in action, but it magically decided it was fine when i busted out the camera. ya my figures in the way, and the speed is off because i have a shitty speedo cable thats all loose and janky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFXb08KaLc0&feature=related Will get some bay shots after i clean it up a little bit more. =) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
