So I took the car out of cali today. Holed up just east of abq...should have made it to armarillo but I had some....issues.

 

I got hit on by a fat indian/mexican broad in a beatup pickup at a truckstop somewhere in new mex. Truckstop hooker? Blech. I thought they were all supposed to be methwhore skinny?

 

Ill upload the pixs when I get to a comp, but i had to dump a quart of synchromesh into the tranny, and fashion 2 other repairs out of duct tape. One included a rockstar can.

 

Btw that was a rockstar zero and it gave me the shakes, lightheadedness, and generally made me feel like crap. Completely Over and done with it.

Thanks guys. Grill made it on plenty of time. Just woke up at 830 mtn, gonna go thru the am check list, (oil, gas, coolant, trans fluid) and be on my way by 930. The new mex sun gets hot fast.

 

BTW. ..there are feral dogs all over the place here.

So it took me a day longer than planned, but the car made it in one piece. I was going to snap some incredible pics at an awesome locaton, but it turned out to be some 3hrs out of the way. Nahh. I'm good on that. I'm not fully unpacked yet, but I had a productive day and I'm going to sleep. Comp will be up and running in a day or 2. Thanks to everyone who helped out!

i think theres power in the timing map still. fuel was 12:1 solid iirc.

 

and the turbo is DM's T-66. boost doesn't come up quickly,

 

also gonna check for boost leaks.
