Hmm, toying with the idea of selling my 18x9 +26 / 18x10 +30 Eurolines for some 18x9.5 +22 / 18x10.5 +22 Varrstoens in matte black. Not quite sure yet.

Anyways, heres how they fit on rolled wheel wells. Havent cut the inners on the rear and it has wutever amount of camber it would at this ride height. Front tires 225/40/18/ Rear 245/40/18

Front fender fitment... well, fender needed to be moved inward a bit more in this pic as well as rolling it more.

Soo has anyone tried to fit anything close to 18x10.5 +20 (in the rear of course)? I know they are on the aggresive side but I don't know if they will be too aggressive. Any thoughts or pictures would be great.

18x10 +0 on the rear with a roll/pull. 225/40 I think. No cuts. Didn't fit at all, rubbed like crazy. Borrowed these from a friend when I ran out of tires.

Rears 18x10 +18 after spacers. 255/35. Still no cuts just a roll/pull. Fit perfect, zero rub. Fronts are 18x9 +18 after spacers with 215/35.

Correct me if I am wrong but the body panels are different on your car, seems like you can handle a wider wheel/lower offset/more tire stock than a USDM body x8 so that should be accounted for when looking at your wheels specs? I know the front fenders have more room stock for stock just looking at them in person.

Camber was around -2.5 I think. Front was like -5 in that pic haha.

I don't know if my panels are that much different, I think running 35 series tires is the key. I replaced those 255/35's with 225/40's later on and they rubbed like crazy. I've never directly compared to an x83 though.

it's supposed that the JZX81's are all an extra inch wider per side than the USDM X8's. not confirmed though.

if you look through the thread, it's quite apparent that all the guys with legitimate JZX81's can run much wider/lower offsets in the rear no problem, as well as being able to get away with a wider tire as well.

I can't confirm this. But i'm more than willing to believe this is correct.

Although, my fenders are clearly modded, and that is how it came. Unsure if it was done in Japan or here in Canada.

But by the looks of it, jzx81 chassis look wider.

But my buddy and his x8 seems like it could handle the same size wheels.

Come nice weather, we can do a direct comparison if it hasn't been done by then.

the X83's can be made to fit big wheels with the right fender work, but stock vs. stock jzx81's are supposed to be wider.
