Haltech, but only because there support is awesome,

i went Emtron KV8, but that is in the same class as M1 series and only a couple $100 more then the haltec's i was looking at.

Rue uses adaptronic, experienced their support and didn't have too many complaints other than finding someone who can tune it. He did though...

had his BEAMS corolla and his vvti 1j x7 running it. think his friend has an RB25 S14 using the one out of the corolla.

^^ Oh??

Make sure to hit up mark panic for that harness, although your e-cred might not be enough to be allowed in the harness queue.  I know mine wasn't =(

^^ I bet flying in Beau would be cheaper than most local tuners too 😎 (unless he raised his rate) I know it's true for the tuners in my area, especially if you split the travel expense with another person wink wink Brian haha

Is he any good though? He only worked at AEM for a long time, tuned almost all Papadakis' cars, and now tunes for Singer Porsche. ;)

The service tech at Subaru just asked me the other day how I imported my Chaser, as he points to my Cressida. Then the following day the salesman at Toyota tells me, "Nice Crown". I figured LHD would be a dead giveaway, but I guess not. lol

I just removed the badges all together. That was fun the one time i got pulled over and since my registration says:  model "crl" (Cressida luxury evidently). The cop kept saying that he had never seen a corolla like that before lmao.

By the way i read this build in its entirety and probably one of my favorites as of late. Amongst the hazing there was the car knowledge and to my surprise the family advice linked in with car passion. Hope to meet you all eventually.

No you don't, you won't like the outcome.

We are not hazing you, we are trying to get rid of you.

mark ii got some fresh air last night.  now that i live in the sticks, it gets super dusty really fast.  i bought a oem mark ii roof spoiler for a lot of money because i always wanted one.  also swapped the panasports from the cressida on it.  i think it looks way better, restoring those SSRs was a mistake.  they're just ugly.

SSRs, my kind of ugly....

Anyway, that is one thing about black, dust seems to stand out.
Too bad windshield wipers won't clean the whole car,
or maybe you don't drive it fast enough...

^ I started doing a highway blow-dry after I wash my car at home now after getting sick of wiping down hard water spots.

Dust makes me wish all my cars were white or silver. Or dust colored to begin with

Man I loved the SSRs on this car.  But I also like pretty much every ugly wheel from the 90s with more than three spokes.  Panas look great as always though

Just read this thread top to bottom again. Crazy I saw this car for the first time just over four years ago, now it's at my house.

I forgot how much work you did and all of the things you replaced. Thanks again for taking care of it. It has been a treat to own so far.
