fapl0rd 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2017 I changed my thermostat and flushed my fluids yesterday to combat the bobbing of my temp gauge and it seems to have done nothing. Temp gauge will come back down on acceleration, but when cruising or shifting it'll go 3/4ths and above many times does not stay stable. My mishimoto radiator is knicked up, but no leaks anywhere and my water pump has less than 5k miles on it I'm just kind of stumped. Any tips for this head ass? Jason 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2017 Air bubbles in the system. Bleed it.
Gordo 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2017 Change out the JZ, for a 7M. Then your problem will seem normal. Jason, next the newb will be asking what 'bleed it' means...... Stop feeding the animals, and they will go away.
fapl0rd 0 Report post Posted May 29, 2017 I'll try bleeding it again. I did it for a good 15 minutes last night, but my head assery has no limits. I'll report back later.

WhoreMouth_Jr 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2017 My old JZ would overheat sometimes in AZ. I tried everything, new pump, new rad, flexalite fans, still did it once in a while. My new JZ only gets above 180 when it's idling in the garage.

fapl0rd 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2017 Just to put an end to this topic, yeah it was air bubbles. Spent the money on that ridiculously expensive Lisle spill free funnel and it works 10000000x better than my shitty duct tape thickness funnel. Moral of the story don't try to be cheap
Gordo 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2017 You think $20 is expensive ? Of course you do, you own a Cressida...

Gordo 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2017 You should google your planned purchases before blowing your hard earned $$. But then if you were smart, you would have never bought an X-chassis...
NAC 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2017 Or just don't own an x-chassis if you can't get a real job....

Gordo 0 Report post Posted June 19, 2017 Sell the X-chassis, buy something that goes with you life style/choices. Something like a mini-van.
