DwreckTheHinga 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 This weekend I finished up all the fuel lines, mounted up the intercooler, replaced my remote shift setup with MA70 shift lever and housing, and built a trans brace/mount. I didn't like that the XM brace wouldn't allow me to run my engine/trans as far back as their engine mounts would allow me to... Try not to mind my hoarding in the background.. Simple design that keeps the same geometry as the XM mount, but is further back, and more solid.I pretty much just got rid of all of the OEM fuel hard lines and left the single brake line. Once all the hard lines were gone I put all my new lines in there. Depending on what parts come in this week, I'll either focus on the oil cooler/power steering cooler setup as well as intercooler piping... or wiring. battleaxe 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2017 I have stock 3.7/3.9 can't remember, and a r154. My car feels like it makes a lot of torque down low and i don't even notice what rpm I'm at. I should have answers Friday and then plot my course from there I'm pretty sure a lot of sanctioning race bodies require x amount of hard-line for fueling for safety. I'd check into that if you plan to do track racing of any kind

I hope you dont plan on running e85 with those braided lines. That corn fuel eats the fuck out of the rubber.....
Kyle 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2017 ^ jesus did you have to quote all the pics?! Also, I ran braided lines no problem with corn fuel in my x8... but they were PTFE aeroquip lines. How you know he didn't?

DwreckTheHinga 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2017 Then why do -8? That's retarded LOL it's -6. So only slightly larger than OEM. Also, I bought all my lines and fittings from JEGS... so if it's Chinese... uhm well...
Kyle 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2017 It looks like -8, maybe they just have bulky hose. -6 is basically 3/8, so you're only really gaining on the return which is 5/

DwreckTheHinga 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2017 what the hell is that shit on the roof? you're piggybacking on driftmotion's "drift taxi" idea? LOL no. Absolutely not. My friend put that on my roof. Also, I'm friends with everybody at DM (30 min from me) so yeah. I wouldn't "steal" an idea from any of my friends... Either way, no I'm not, and no this isn't staying on or anywhere near this car once it's done.
