Kyle Anson's Cresshita Build Thread

Recommended Posts

Guessing you all didn't take enough LSD when you were kids, I can see them just fine.
Wait, you are mostly kids anyway, what am I talking about ?
Can you not hear all the voices in my head neither ?

Calling Brian, what the fuck is happening with this 'New & Improved' forum ??

I've only done acid once. I'd be willing to do it again. Let's do some together, Gordo?

Well Gordon's is a drop vent, typically the lowered edge runs the face of the motor and behind the fans so the hot air passing through the rad exits out the hood. Imo the best of the vents as it is fully functional and keeps engine bay temps down as well as double efficiency of the rad

Multi vent hoods are placed shitty and have 3-4 open slots that COULD be utilized but many scensers don't know or care as their car doesn't see the road on rainy days or they live where it doesn't rain so they don't care. It's simple enough to place it further forwards and utilize it and if you have a long motor you can blank out the vents that do drop into the valleys but then you will also accumulate water in those now trays. Or u can do like I said and make a tray under there so it still gets rid of hot air and then runs the face of the motor. Or do nothing

I'll pass Kyle, I barely got the charges dropped from the last time I did some.
(but they never found the bodies either...)

The tray would be a good idea.

Update:

Just started prepping for paint. P.s. body work kinda sucks but is also kind of rewarding.

Also test fitted some S9 skirts.

If u don't have a da sander, get one. Buzz the car down with 240/320. Block out any filler, sealer the whole car, then let that flash off, then shoot your colour. Make body work easier and quicker...as I imagine this will still be a skid car

don't tell him to get a DA sander and not tell him about intermediate pads lol. You're going to make the man end up with an x8 that is as square as an x7.

What're those? I just know of soft and hard pads for the day. Each has their purpose. What're you talking aboot?

3M calls them interface pads, but yeah they're the soft and hard hook-it pads you use between the DA and the paper. It may seem self explanatory for someone who has used a DA, but this is imperative info that's commonly left out.

Looking proper man!!!!! Fitment is fucking perfect !!! Looks like a game of millimeters.Fucking perfection is achieved with thoses ssr koenigs. One of my top 3 favourite wheel designs.

Good luck finding center caps lol i see them come up on yjp here and there and holy fucking shit are they expensive!!!

As far as the transition pads go yes they are cool.Mainly for scuff sanding contoured surfaces/back sanding/finish sanding primer surfacer ect.

I have only ever seen the soft pad ones.I have never seen a hard pad transition pad or interface pad as you call them.

A plain old hard pad will always be best for feather edging imo and a regular old soft pad work fine for finishing sanding and back sanding repairs before primer.

Carry on...

*Edit...Found one center capon yjp   https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/s624204642

Hm........

That outer ring looks a lot like the Volk Group-C outer rings.
Does the inner cap have the threads, and holds the outer ring in place?

@Tbone Those aren't the same. i think those are for a smaller face koenig? they only have 4 mounting holes. Mine have 5 holes that mount the cap to the face.

but i did buy the original one you posted. it was around 150 after shipping and fee's.

i plan on having someone machine me a new set of 4 and ill buy gel centers from someone.

I found a guy who said he could machine 4 perfect replicas for 200-300$

i kinda want to have the gel centers to say KYS instead of KS. LOL
