Kyle Anson's Cresshita Build Thread

Recommended Posts

BattleAxe,

Oh i'm well aware of all the complications with vented hoods, I've killed many spark plugs.

I just carry a tarp around with me when it's raining or if i think it'll rain and put it on top the engine while parked.

I honestly just avoid driving in the rain all together though.

Gordo,

I've been using Jesse Streeter and the last time i put a max bid of $400 and let it auto bid up to that amount.

Last set of center caps went for like 550-650$, I only paid $800 for all 4 Koenigs prior to rebuild. So honestly feels like a waste of money.

I feel that $400, which is $100 a cap is a fair price, but i guess not. RIP

which is why i'm tryna find someone to machine me 4 center caps to make them look less ugly.

cuz honestly the center caps make the wheel in my eyes imo.

First, he sells Chinese shit on Yahoo-JP.

I've seen him low bid, and lose auctions because he had customers (members here) tell them how much they are willing to spend, try to get it for less to increase his take, then not go back to up the bid before the listing closes multiple times.

He bids early, and loses shit.

You only get good service out of him when it's an easy bid, and a high dollar item.

For christ sake, are you all to retarded to see it ?
All you have to do is watch the listings that you have him bidding on, and figure out how to see when he bids, and how much he bids.

Fuck, dealing with someone who relies on dumb shits, instead of just using Robert @ EP Importers, Buyee, or RHD Japan is just fucking retarded. Robert has jumped through flaming hoops to get stuff for me, and will notify you if you are out bid, or even if something looks fishy with the seller or listing,  Buyee is great for little cheep shit that you want quick, and I wouldn't have my HPI 6-speed if it wasn't for RHD.

Who gives a shit what he sells on yaj? Are you trying to buy his Chinese parts?

His commission is 1k yen and 2k on wheels over 16" you try and make a living running a business just forwarding/repacking for 10 and 20 dollars an item.

Almost every time I've ordered anything larger than a trunk emblem through buyee it's come damaged do to shitty their packaging.

He's currently trying to source me a Numata lip for my car. Long time disco'd, and I have only seen one pop on yaj and it went for 500.  Trying to see if the shop will do a one off or another run. Also what's the point of last minute bidding and you get into a bid war and then the seller just extends the auction?  I bid the max I'm willing to pay for something and not a dollar more.  If I win I win, if I don't I try again later.  There's been tons of times on eBay I've spent more than I wanted due to a last minute bid war and trying to measure wallets.

His commission is flat(not % based) so bidding up shit you are trying to buy through him from another account does nothing for him?  I get good service through him no mater what I buy. I've had him buy 25 dollar toys off Amazon Japan that wouldn't ship to the US before several items 10-30 dollars I get treated the same as when I'm trying to buy 1k-2k worth of wheels. He has also bid on weekends and after hours for me several times.

Maybe we are just getting better service that you because we are repeats customer. I've come to learn with most car shit in this world the more you go somewhere and are respectful the more they are willing to help you/cut you deals.  But now days it seems everyone has the "I'm the customer, I'm always right, bend over backwards for me so you can make 5 bucks" kinda attitude. I know if I was on the other side of that I would take a hard pass on that kind of customer.

It looks like Gordo and Demesio out numbered this time. But it's good you found someone that works for you.

It's called personal honor, I wouldn't sell Chinese shit anywhere, and despise the people who do for LARGE profits.
Same goes for low bidding on something that a customer said to bid higher on.

As I said, seen it happen to people here who used him.

I'm not following what you mean bid low bid high? His process as of late is very concrete: You tell him what you would like to bid on, what your max bid is.  He sends you an invoice for that amount, as soon as he gets the money he places the bid, the end.

And the end for some work is just a paycheck to do the actual things you enjoy (He might sell Chinese parts, I make ads, meh sue me).  And in the end of the day judging by what seems to be doing in his free time, he's doing alright in my book.

Real simple.
Customer requests him to bid $650, he only places bid for $500.

Also lazy to take someone's money, and instead of bidding at the last minute, enters the bid early, that increases the chance of someone else out bidding.
Don't forget, I was doing the whole auction thing before him for many years, have seen how this works, and know how to follow who is bidding, and when.

That's an interesting idea why would you want to purposely lose for your customer.  Never had that happen to me but I'm not an eBay expert.  Seems highly unethical and I find it highly unlikely that that had happened in the past few years since his policies have be come very concrete and transparent. Especially since he requires the full amount deposited before he will place a bid. I usually just lose because someone  bids higher  than I'm willing to go.  Maybe that's a good idea idea for a priemum service where you can pay extra and he'll last minute bid for you haha.

I don't think anyone is doubting your auction intelligence, but yaj and eBay have differences. At the end of the day if someone wants something more than you and the seller extends the auction last minute bidding has 0 positives, and in my personal experience I tend to overspend in the pissing contest.  His service works well for me.

But like I said his low commission, ease of use, and quality packaging work for most of us "drift idiots" and it's good you found someone who works well for you.

So simple-minded. Learn how to use Google Translate and make Japanese friends you plebs.
They love american shit so all you gotta do is be willing to ship shit for them and they'll be willing to ship shit to you.

Back to vented hoods.......
If you get a hood vent, or a complete 'glass hood like this, you don't get shit on the top of your engine:

DSC07605.jpg

Lucas sells just a vent like this:

Missle%20Drop%20Vent.jpg

I had tried to buy the hood through streeter, but he couldn't handle it.......

Edited by Gordo
Additional info, and being a dick....

Streeter doesn't do body kits or hoods. He had a lot of people flake when they heard shipping costs. He has a blanket no policy, which is on the website, for this reason, no matter how much he tells them it will be, he still got stuck with tons of abandoned items. I've been using him for a couple years and as far as I remember it's been like this for a while before this. I find him very easy to deal with and I can reach him at all hours and days. Very good communication. You can even ask him to order new as he has discounts with some places instead of buying used defis for example...as they cost the same new as they are used lol.

Brian revamped the image uploading interface, now old man Gordo can't properly post a picture. What a time to be alive.

What is wrong with my pictures?
Are you trying to read the forum on a cell phone?

Never mind the fact that you are all crying about getting shit on your engine using a pop-rivet on hood vent that looks like it was meant for a house AC inlet,
and I post one that is available here that doesn't.

@LUMBERZACK Most likely isn't working because it looks like you have the photobucket "fix" addon running and gordo is posting photobucket links that should work.   They also aren't working for me and I was running that plug-in too, but removing the plugin didn't fix the issue for me lol
