I've been looking at those bench top metal brakes too. whats the thickness on that aluminum? - It doesn't look like the brake was able to stay stiff enough to get a crisp bend? battleaxe 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2017 I took the bug out and the nature piece fell off after it dried up. The sheet wasn't very thick 1/8 thick if that. Not crisp bends, but the curveness of it works for me. First time using it, maybe if I clamped it down on the top half too, Iunno. I clamped it on the line and gave it hell. Replaced pretty much everything by the sounds of it, note to get signals working with jzx markers and horn, license plate bracket for bumper then put it together..I think that's it... battleaxe 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2017 put the starter in last night, assembled the bumper, polished some lenses, LED licence plate lights. noticed today after more no starts that the block and head both dont have any grounds...and the blinker for the signals doesnt work so i have to replace that as well. put chubby tires on the blitz wheels for the civic as well. so this week im going to put ground straps on the motor lol, and hopefully it will work. also took out the MBC and now it looks to run 12psi so thats better. battleaxe 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2017 added a fat 1 gauge ground to the block, started first try. going to add a couple more for good measure. plan is to make the horn work then insure the car, break in the diff, change diff fluid. drive around town and get rid of this old gas, stay out of boost, then top up with good new fuel and fix any..(lots?) of problems that come up, then call up Bill @ Indy and get it tuned and dyno numbers so i know what its doing and my next steps in the future. i plan to ditch the oem ecu and safcII when i get larger injectors and put the BC cams in...that i got for 20 bucks at a wrecked MKIII that had a 1.5JZ and blew the motor and was sold as scrap to a guy or something. also get Bill to make a full new engine harness because this one is reeeeally shitty and also old and brittle... jesus fucking christ i want to drive this stupid car again Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

My defi tach also didn't work right when I tee'd it into tach 1 and tach 2 output. So I'm not sure if either of those work? I still need to find the trans half of the Speedo cable too.
