tougekid1 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Motor is a 1jz VVTI? I started noticing about 6 weeks ago the RPM would drop a little when first started. Now it wont stay running till its fully warmed up. It has a aftermarket TB. Motor came from a 110 swapped to cable. Tuned with a PFC. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. DiscoShit 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Not sure about 1jz. But 2jz vvti has no iacv. The iddle is controlled by the ecu through the throtle motor it self.
tougekid1 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Correct Discoshit. It is the same for a 1j VVTI. So now I'm trying to narrow down the problem. With the aftermarket TB I was worried that there would be an issue. But this just started to happen a few weeks ago and I have had the motor in for well over a year now. No issues till lately. Im at a loss here. I have checked all vacuum lines, IC piping. No lose plugs anywhere. Really at this point I was grasping at straws. So any ideas?
DiscoShit 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 You are on stock ecu? Maf and all? You could just wire one of those evap solenoids to work as a iddle up valve.
tougekid1 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 No. PFC and MAP.
tougekid1 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2015 So it has been a while but.. All I needed to do was adjust the set screws for the aftermarket TB. Apparently that causes a lot of funky issues.
