Alright so its looking like my ecu is to blame here. Anyone have a recommendation for someone who can repair a late model ecu?

And heres this just cause. Runs and drives, sorta.

No etcs-i power, no ability to communicate with code reader, rev cutting, not idling etc. All wiring tested fine (no surprise).

Finally got back to the car, wish I didnt have to leave it so quick, only took 5 minutes to find where I had fucked up and get the thing running. Runs pretty decent now, e-throttle is weird. Went out for a rip, seems like its cutting out a little, cant tell. Way faster than the 1uz either way. Anyone here gotten an obd2 scanner/app to work with one of these jdm ecus?

for torque app you need the paid version and a custom string.

Just gonna buy a cheap tablet and try that torque app, thanks man.

car died twice while driving today, fired back up both times and the second time the battery started venting. Been bad for a little while, I'll pick up a new one and see if I still have issues. Optimas are bullshit.

Yellow tops are made to be cycled, red tops are starting batteries, cycle them enough and they shit the bed.

Joe: It's alright, haven't gotten much of a chance to drive it yet.

 

Yeah the tach is wack haha, happens when you swap in a motor that doesn't suck ass and dont fix the little things I guess. Could fix it but I dont care enough, none of the other gauges work anyways, fuel level aside. Doesn't matter though, got a cheap tablet and a little mount to hang it in front of my cluster, btw thanks Mark, that first string worked great. Going for a shakedown drive tomorrow to see if she's in shape for a 500 mile drive back to Oregon.

Gordo: Pretty sure I did the harness in this car? Gauges should be fine except for speedo. Gotta be something on your end.
