Boiii I've got snow tires on the stock X7 wheels

But I'm just going to drive my shitbag Impreza Outback as I now have 2/2 Cressidas with smoked LSDs

Got rid of the X7. LOL.

Had it driving good and everything working properly, and I realized I still hated it, and it was still slow, and I had been a dumb. Let's just forget that ever happened.

Back to X8 just in time for winter. Finally replaced the twisted, rubberized piece of shit stock steering wheel with a noice one. Took it out on one last cruise and parked it next to a dumpster. Then washed it up and stowed it for winter. End transmission.

Damn, this thread was a good read.
Being from Connecticut and reading about your run in with rust makes me so glad my parents moved me to Arizona 14 years ago. Every Cressida out here is showroom quality compared to the two shells you started with. The only orange/brown we see on our cars is dirt.
Awesome job sticking through it and turning a turd into something I like.
Following.

Thanks. Connecticut sucks. It's been below ten degrees during the day for the past week. I wish I lived somewhere like Arizona without trees, and I could turn my yard into a desert or parking lot or something else uninhabitable for wildlife.

Photobucket kind of fucked this thread, but since it's only like 5 pages of missing shit I might fix it if I get around to it. If anyone cares. At least people will know what not to do to a recovered Titanic car.

Almost twenty-nine goddamn years old and I just now get my first set of real wheels. And they just happened to be on the parts car I picked up for a project that's too gay and embarrassing to post on here. Even with spacers they don't fill out the front as much as I would want. I could get them rebarreled, but I'd rather have money in my pocket to waste on other bullshit. Hard to even find specs for these things

Yup they're Rays/5Zigen 5ZR Copse. Apparently the 2 piece version of these was made by Rays. I've only got a diameter on the back of the faces but they're a staggered 18x9 18x10 set, I wanna say mid 20's? offset in the front and mid 30's in the rear. If I hadn't hacked my fenders up I'd use them.

Oh god. Okay selling them. The middle picture isn't loading for me, but it's probably like a kitted last gen Celica with 7.5J +45

Andrew, that's already with a 15mm up front

I think they suite the cressida quite nicely.

These wheels are the things dreams were made of back when I first started driving..

This is like going to your 10 year class reunion and not being able to decide if the cute chick you had a crush on in high is still hot, or if you are actually disappointed that she has let herself go. But deep down you know you would still smash for nostalgia's sake. That is how I feel about these wheels.

you should change themes and make this a 2001 spocom build. did they make vader or black widow kits for the cressida? bet an accord bumper would work.

Hahahaha god fucking damnit, I do like the way they look on the X and the dollar signs have been disappearing and being replaced by bad ideas. Fuckit

The parts car I pulled them off of was also total 2001 spec, right down to the carbon dual-bladed wipers:

Speaking of 10 year reunions. I had a Z32 in high school. Thought it was awesome. And now, I pick up this TT and it's such a pile of shit, I don't even hesitate in pulling off what I want and scrapping it.

So for me it's a would not smash.

I love the names of old school cheap chinese kits."Street fighter" "Vader" ROFL

If anything these wheels are a nice addition to any wheel hoard.I would keep these just for the nostalgia.

Chris that accord is hilarious.Takes me back to my days of motegi wheels and twisted beach towel extreme side skirts.

Saw a Z32 once with a 2jz-nat in it and it looked refreshingly easy to work on, which is the Z32's biggest downfall.

I'd keep the wheels. They actually look good and don't look so 2001 because they actually have a decent lip; whereas the wheels in the pictures Chris posted have 1/4" of lip at most.

get your magnifying glass out and take another look at the nsx if you want 2008 status hundred dollar bill lip on your 2001 wheels.

Fuck it. Swapped out the giant tires and mounted them back up. Yeah, the faces are pretty destroyed, so I might try to buff them out a little

These particular wheels actually have it machined into the spoke and painted, so I don't have to deal with any decals
