    So I finally got tired of the gay little nissan I've been calling my track car for the last 4 years and I decided it was finally time to build myself a track slut of the 4 door toyota variety. Goodnight sweet bitch. While the car drove great with the 1j it, I broke everything on the fucker. It taught me what not to do when building a car. My next car is sort of a "lesson learned" type of a build. Enter the white devil. 91 x8 The chassis has 110k on it, bhg, fairly clean body, and cost me a whole 1st gen Ipod touch. This thing is gonna be obnoxious, brightly colored , and hopefully able take a thorough beating in stride. fuck it.
  2. I'm trying to figure out the bare minimum wiring needed to get this 1JZ VVTi running off the jzx100 ecu (89661-22790) spliced into the OEM ecu. I've got this sheet with the current wiring setup: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cpEVmfAjzOJC8lv222NVwjEgKTAu4l8ZFxO9HQDKr0I/edit?usp=sharing My XE10 ecu will be controlling the throttle, since the ETCS-i should adjust the throttle based on target RPM/idle and thus change TPS values, which the jzx100 will read (tapped) add/remove fuel based on that TPS+MAF value. I'm not saying any of the above is correct, just trying to figure out why this pos wont run on the JZX100 ecu. (runs and idles well on stock ecu +EMU) - The ecu looks clean on the inside, but who knows that could be bad too. The goal is to remove the EMU so that I can drive on stock mapping for a bit and then add the EMU back in when I start changing stuff around. ps: a lot of the pins were confirmed also by looking at the EMU wiring, since they have the pinouts for the jzx100
  3. Here's my problem. Just bought a Cressida with a blown head gasket. I found an IS300 2J but I'm not exactly sure how much work is involved with putting it in. What scared me was, I called a guy to ask him how much would it be for him to put in a 1j and he said $5500 with motor engine and labor. He was offering a bit more than just the swap but the car would have to run 9s in a 1/4 mile for me to pay him that right now. 7Ms and 1Js don't cost that much and I'm sure I could find a VVTi 2J for under $1500 so what am I missing. Now I'm sure it's not a plug and play swap but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure of how much a is/gs300 swap should cost

    Hi guys New to the forum. From Australia Now, I have a mx83 cressida with a full jzx81 half cut in it. I have searched and searched but is there any aftermarket options for the jzx81 ecu. Be it stand alone or or plug and play.?
  5. ending up putting everything in one for sale thread. located in SoCal, LA area celicadrifter@sbcglobal.net 1jz stock cams/ cam gears. make offer. used 2jzgte water pump itself, no housing, plastic blade - $20 used timing belt idler pulley - $40 used timing belt tensioner - $20 IACV pipe ( from IACV around back of the head to the turbo side) - $10 stock VVTI 1jz topfeed rail - $20 2jzgte non vvti plastic cover painted in the japanes rising sun scheme with dupont silver base/clear, silver flake and candy red - $200 Rip Garage engine brackets for JZ swap on X8 with included bolts - $80 Denso Supra Twin Turbo fuel pump, Brand new - $200 Q45 maf with pigtail and HKS air filter, slotted the holes on the maf to get the filter to bolt on. Good for whoevers planning on running a Q45 maf on their non d-jetro power fc on a vvti 1jz - $50 Moroso cooling system expansion tank. Can be used as a coolant overflow like i did before. 1.5 qts and comes with cap $50 2 sets of '98/'99 Honda Accord ECU plugs for if your gonna run a AEM 30-6050 ecu, got 2 sets $20/ea. set shipping is $5 on either, JZX100 Chaser A/T gauge cluster w. bezel and pigtails $50 Wastegate flange, looks like its for older hks style wastegate rectangular 4 bolt, also looks like u can bolt a 2 bolt wastegate on it. obo plus shipping Going a different route on my turbo setup. 2jzgte T3 turbo setup. Ebay divided manifold, braced, T4 to T3 divided adapter welded on(also have a divided T3 flange acting as a spacer on there), and the original wastegate flange replaced with a square 4 bolt flange. Holset HX35, 3" v-band flange welded for downpipe, internal wastegate welded shut, 3" elbow welded on, and 4an oil inlet restrictor/ 10an oil drain fittings, very minimal shaft play. Copper lock nuts on the turbo. Brand new Apex'i wastegate. Downpipe and wastegate dump pipe(still gotta get parts of it welded from where i modded it). Oil lines not included. Take all for $1100. I can seperate as well.

    Names Joe im 23 years old. I been threw a boat load of S/Z chassis cars but thats not here nor there. I always loved rust magnet cars with four doors so i bought a Cressida last week. The car ran and was maybe only 10miles away from my house but i towed it home anyway with my AAA. I fucking hate 7m's and will deny they ever existed to a Toyota Master Tech. I bought a jzx100 1J and a r154 the next day.I have a boat load of parts ready to install water pump,arp head studs,head gasket,mk3 diff/bushings,300zx brakes,random leftover wheels,control arms,trac rods and othercool shit. Plans with the car, drag and pimp hoes. Now for pics.. As of today. never had a 7m here much needed cleaning.. clean 1j R154 and rad. So yeah i have everything but wiring. This is were jzxproject comes into play one of you guys can convert yes?
