Steering - I want to go backwards

Dont think its hitting, but I will have to poke my head under and check. Either way moving it couldnt hurt. busa had been in for a couple events. Great torque!

Steering - I want to go backwards

Found a cool place to stick my GoPro during this last event. XM everything and an X7 rack. Im using a steering stop to keep my 17x8 +32 rim from hitting the tie rod spacer I made from hex bar. I need to get better rims and redo my tie rods and Im pretty sure I could run out of rack.

I wouldn't say there is a "move" being made to X90s, but if there happened to be one local it would make sense to take the needed measurements
5. Already have an MX83 Urethane bushing kit but want to swap in an MX73 rack? All you need is the Passenger side bushing to make it happen. This is the same bushing that comes in the MX73 kit, only sold seperately so you don't have to buy the whole kit. You can also contact us for other individual bushings. Price: $ 25.00 / bushing link to XM------------------>MX73 Passenger Side Rack Bushing

X7 Urethane Steering Rack Bushings

We've designed this bushing kit for the MX73 steering rack. The 80A Urethane is significantly stiffer than the stock rubber bushings that tend to wear over the years and loosen. It doesn't matter if it's an MX73 chassis or MX83 chassis, these bushing will fit both as long as it's an MX73 rack. Not sure? You can measure the Passenger side rack tube, an MX83 rack should be approximately 1.730" dia (43.9mm). Got an MX83 rack, we’ve got bushings for that as well. If you’ve already purchased the X8 rack bushings but want to swap in an X7 rack, you can just buy the Passenger side X7 bushing and keep the driver side you already have. Price: $ 48.50/ Pair link to XM------------------>MX73 Urethane Steering Rack Bushings

Mitto- I dont think there will be a full poly-bushing replacement at this time. If the market arises that may change, but at this time given the demand seen and how busy things have been, a bushing is not in development. bwcress- RUCAs are in the works. There is no timeline right now, but they are in development. shawley- All I can really say right now is if you have an X90, get in touch with Xcessive.

Mitch and I hit up a local event a few weeks back and had a blast. Here is the video a friend put together.
10. 1.5J, 550cc supra injectors, and a single HX35 tuned with a SAFC. I can usually average 20-23mpg (US) but last drift event I went to at evergreen speedway saw me going through half a tank of race gas in about 10 runs.... Im guessing that would be closer to 8mpg. driving like an asshole can get expensive.

How the Fuhhhhh!?

This has been addressed earlier. I thought the thread was stickied but I guess not. The online shipping calculator uses UPS as its service. This is reasonable for regular items shipped in the states, but XM uses other services to ship internationally. Get in touch with them for the best option. here is the previous thread: http://jzxproject.co...?showtopic=6739

Mounting 2jz into MX83

Bolt the engine mount to the engine bracket (does not have to be tight) and THEN set the motor onto the crossmember, everything should line up. This is a common mistake with motor mounts but you have to think, you are attaching 2 pieces that are in a "V" shape. The holes will not align until you are "right there."

I know im not hitting the tension rod right now. But if i get the Xm knuckles i might? The chance is slim you will hit the tension rod depending on your wheels and offset. Mitch accidentially ran 9.5" rims up front during an event and was hitting his JIC's. The Xcessive TC rods are designed to stay behind the frame until after where the tire/wheel would rub. They are also designed to be adjusted at the front of the TC rod rather than having a bulky adjustment close to the wheel. You might have no problems with the Yanak rods, but if you do this was a deisgn consideration for the XM rods. So right now. All i would need is the XM knuckle and that should get me more angle before i hit the lower control arm again? Yes. They are designed to get more angle than a stock setup. Essentially you have a stock setup that is being helped along by the NCRCAs. The XM knuckles with your NCRCAs will give you even more. Would the tire rod extensions do anything? Im guessing they wouldn't help. The extensions are designed to help the stock outers actually reach the knuckle. That or you can get the heim adapters and be even better off. http://www.xcessivemanufacturing.com/ONLINESTORE.html?cid=48&step=4&pid=270 I don't even know if my car can run x chassis tension rods anymore. It was modded to run s13/14 ones Those look like X chassis TC rods, do you have a picture of where they mount to the body? I am wondering why there is a hole in your control arm. That doesnt look like a stock mounting.

First thing is yes, XM knuckles will get you more angle. The mount point for the tie rod is shorter than stock so you will get more angle before hitting the control arm. As for your car, you are not running a stock setup. It looks like you are already running Yanak tension rods as well as Negative Camber RCAs. I think the NCRCAs are netting you a little bit more angle with the stock knuckle. when you upgrade to XM knuckles will get you further than you are now. As for the Yanak tension rods, they are an awesome company and a well designed part. However if you find you are hitting the tension rod at full lock you should consider the Xcessive TC rods. The XM pieces are designed to tuck more inboard on the car and be out of the way of the wheel. Mitch had JIC's on his car and ran into that problem with wider rims. I know people have cut into the control arm for more room and I have heard good things, but would be careful of the tie rod over-centering. There are members on here that have more experience with that than I do, you might hunt them down.

1JZ Harmonic Dampner...lost its harmony

Im running fluidampr and I love it. Never ran an ATI but I have heard of fitment issues, the fluidampr piece popped right on. Check summit racing for prices on both. If you find a better price somewhere else, summit will price match too.

In regards to the question about angle with and without the XM knuckles here is what I got when the knuckles were first put on my car. With stock knuckles on my cress I could turn to full lock with my front off the ground and still freely spin my leading wheel. However, after installing the XM knuckles that same wheel turned far enough to rub against the frame. This is a noticable increase in steering angle... and with the rim removed I could turn further. Im willing to bet how I took the measurements was not perfect, but from my meaurements the stock knuckles would allow about 40*, After the knuckles were installed the angle increased to 47* with my tire touching frame. Again, how I measure this may be imperfect, but I wanted to show that yes there is a noticeable increase insteering angle compared to stock (AND the ratio is faster). With lower offset wheels or a spacer I know I can get the tire away from the frame and more angle can be had but I dont want to speculate at exactly how much. Mitch is running 17x8 +20-something and he gets more angle than I do without touching the frame. In regards to concerns with the JZX81 chassis and rack... if for some reason that rack gets more steering angle from the factory, that will be increased by XM knuckles because you are changing the geometry of a lever arm the rack acts on, you are not dealing with the limits of that exact rack. As for RUCAs. FLCAs and rack bushings... they are in the design process. I will let people know when they hit
