    Gordo's X8 Ramblings

I love my Bride Zeta-III Japan. I have the regular size. I'm 5'-11", 165lbs. 32 waist, sorta broad shoulders. I fit perfectly in it. Hardly able to wedge my hand between my thigh and the bolster. I do daily drive with this seat and I find it comfortable. The only time I feel discomfort is when it is hot and there is no air flow to my back. Sweaty. I think the Large size would be perfect for daily driving comfort as it would give me that little extra wiggle room. For track days, I wouldn't want any other seat to be honest. I have heard many Americans love the Bride L and XL sizes. I think you would definitely be able to find comfort in the L seat. I have heard Recaro hip sizes run narrow.

Boris, I have seen the 6-piston CTS-V kit on another Cressida, but I didn't ask much about installation. All I can say is that it has been done before; you should be fine. What kind of tool were you using to clearance your strut tower? A nice body hammer would've done the job nicely and not left you a hole. Luckily you're still shaving the bay.

    Kyle Anson's Cresshita Build Thread

I run x7 rack conversion, XM urethane bushings, IS300 pump, Chasebays reservoir, full AN line conversion, and solenoid UNPLUGGED. Steers and counters like a Cadillac. I can u-turn in a two lane street. I saw Jordan's bushing blowouts and I haven't experienced it. Not to say I won't in the future, but for now it's still going strong.

    2 many cressidas. a x3 build thread

Probably someone who is more concerned about the bumper than the car. Good to see you post here Mike!

This is the exact outcome I expected from this thread. GG

Looks good man. I definitely would've liked the black with purple flake better, but this doesn't look bad either.

    JZ to BMW ZF

I've always been curious about the STI 6-speed transmission. Forget about the center diff and outputs for front axles, but they are pretty stout 6-speeds. ratio isn't too bad. STI has a 3.9 final like the Cressida. I like the way my STI 6-speed shifts too. I think 1-4 in the STI are shorter than most (rally gears?). Idk they seem plentiful. Seems like a fun trans to drift on.
  8. In 10 years, I'd love to find one of those 300 final production Mark X GRMN and import it under show and display. The crossover world domination is in effect.

Good thing I'm not a betting man because those look like 16's. Funny how the design of the wheel can really trick the eye. I love 3-spoke Advans. Especially Super Advan V.2. I like your quad headlights. Props for track time and not just beefing with people on Facebook. *COUGH* @AcidTrip *COUGH*

I wish PNW wasn't 23 hours away. I think I'll consider driving an event up there once in my life.

I wonder how many JZ cars that show up will actually be Toyotas.

Which WB hub boss did you get? I got 522 which is only 45mm long. It took about a day to get used to the extra 1" of distance away from the turn signals, but it's second nature now.

I was going to rotate the FPR top, but figured it was orientation specific since the instructions specified which side faces forward.

First start up. Not tuned. Tach wasn't working. Just needed to be repinned. To the tuner! Running not even 14 PSI (Wastegate spring pressure) ~400whp/ftlbs on 14psi, 91 octane w/ 52% IDC's. I could run 18psi and make over 500, but there really is no point at my driving level. 400 rips and is super safe/conservative/reliable. I love the responsiveness of this turbo. It's exactly what I wanted. It's very comparable to the stock twins what is exactly what I wanted. I'm super excited to have a solid power plant to progress my driving with. I'm very happy with the outcome of this. I also love knowing that this setup has more on the table for when or if I decide to get more power.

It's been a while since my last update, but I finally got everything installed, running, and tuned on the new Link ECU. Here is the Panic Wire 2JZ -> Link ECU jumper harness. Also MAF sensor connector to IAT sub-harness. Deatschwerks 300 Fuel pump installed on stock hanger. I believe this pump flows 340LPH and is very comparable in size to the Aristo Denso pump I was using. Deatschwerks Bosch 1050cc EV14 Injectors installed with Radium fuel rail and injector boss kit. Great fitment. pinning for new injector connectors Injectors installed and connectors pinned. I love this thing. Admin Reveal It doesn't look much different. It's definitely not a show car and I still want to clean up some stuff around the bay. I was on a time crunch to get this operating so I could make my appointment with the tuner. Luckily I made it and I'll focus on tidying up the engine bay later. I just want to drive it.

Nice come up man! That's a lot of spares lol. With the track surfaces out here, I think you could do a weekend event and still have an unused pair. lol

The rest of my fuel setup came in the mail. I'll be contacting my tuner to schedule an appointment for tuning. Probably install and tune in a couple weeks when my schedule allows.

I have Brian's old custom 25mm rear bar that I am contemplating throwing on, but I'd want to get a 26-27mm front bar first. Thick rear with thin front is so off balance. Jordan, try westlakes. They are the cheapest tire on Amazon, but they last foreverrr. They don't chunk unless you're heavy on the hand brake. I guess the only downside is they "dOn'T GEt Sm0AkiE". But if you're looking for best bang for your buck and more seat time, they're awesome. I drive to keep my mind off work and to enjoy what's left of my depreciating 20's, not to make smoke for instagram clout.
