    Supposedly the x81 non-sunroof Safety21/Cusco cage fits snug on sunroof model Cressidas. Least that's my plan when I finally get around to picking up a bolt in.

    Not gonna lie, I am liking those IS skirts. Temptation has set in. Sucks they just throw Taurus' straight to the crusher. They were crap tho.
  4. the recaro LX LS seats look very at home in the mx83. if there was a factory sport upgrade option these would fit the bill. they sit a bit lower than factory on Bride MOs which is nice for me being 6'2". the blue ones i found even matched up to the factory blue interior rather well.

    unless you get right up on them you will be hard pressed to ever see it......plus $15. the fact they closely resemble the factory rocker to me is a good thing. just slightly more pronounced than factory.

    Jzx love affair part 2 - 81 Cresta

    E46 Getrag 6spd would be nice. Believe its just adapter plate and run BMW clutch/flywheel. Not sure on driveshaft tho. They can handle decent power/torque levels and shift very nice. Also have read (on the internet mind you) that the Solstice trans is based off r154 and handles into 500whp like a champ....again internet knowledge so not 100% sure. Friend had a 1jz swapped E36 with either the e36 or e46 M trans running 500+whp and it took heavy abuse without talking back.

    ford taurus side skirts off mid 90s fit great. picked mine up for $15 and snagged a Volvo 940 lip for $10. both are abs so they can take the abuse. i'm fairly sure the M5 skirts on the early 90s will fit nicely as well. taurus skirts e34 skirts

    If you have door bars in your cage then the rigidity of your actual doors doesnt really matter. Figure out how much you need for the window regulator to stay solid and cut everything else. Or cut it all and build bracing for the window regulator/tracks/etc. Personally I like having a door that keeps it's shape when it isnt shut. The doors you see on FD cars are just the outer skin and some bits to keep them bolted together. They shake in the wind and change shape every time you open/close them.
  10. That ITB setup is gorgeous.....the sounds....have always loved ITBs for that 8k+ scream. C33 wing is awesome. Looks right at home on x8.

    why is it always the driver side tail light wing that goes missing? Pretty nice bar! Once you get a bender that one will serve as great template. Definitely go thinner tubing if you ever remake it will help drop weight

    Probably would fold on impact, but that might not be a bad thing. Something has to give in an impact. Build the bar to crush itself and not the chassis. Thin wall tubing and a crush section would be helpful. Looks like the Mark2s came with tow hook off underside "frame rail" rather than off the bumper beam itself. Would hope same spot on Cressida is able to handle tow hook as well. If you were just looking for rear strap down point I would run that.
