Seems I managed a pass from this place somehow, so now I may make it my job to be the resident NA 1G fag that keeps pouring money into it and not letting it die. Anyway, My name is Michael. I own a GX81 MARK II sedan, and I like the 1G in it. I'm from Auckland New Zealand (straya 0.5 to most of you) and i make fuck all money to fund it, yet I manage pretty well. I bought it in 2011 completely stock minus some after market 15x6.5s 2011 was a shit year, school meant I did nothing 2012 gave me a job, BBS 6.5s, Slit spoiler, Fender mirrors, fanboy phase and nasty low hanging bastard exhausts. I also bought a W55 and gathered relevant X8 conversion bits. 2013... Kei office body adjustable Coilovers (32 way) 12kg/10kg. SSR MK I - 15x7.5J +5 15x8.0J +12 A National BF-921 glass tint 35% VLT Acquired ITBs, going to get a mani made up some time then thrown in with a LINK ECU and my new cams. More to come... As it stands now, I failed a certification, meaning I have no WOF (warrant of fitness ) meaning this car is illegal as fuck. To pass the cert, I have to put in some Xcessive Pillowball bushes, get the camber toned down a little, and reduce tyre scrub and poke. I say fuck the last part, its time for 195/45s. and here I am. Plans for the future... TRUST Manitako, octopus legs are the shit for 1Gs its a must if you own a twincam. HKS 2.4 Crank is deep down the line with TODA cams, pistons and cam gears. Vitaloni Californian mirrors VS Fender mirrors is a thing im thinking about now.

    I should've anticipated someone would mention the persistent use of ancient tech. The F-Con was put in the car in the late 00s by a Japanese tuner based in NZ. He ofc had a hardon for HKS shit resulting in F-Con spam across customer cars. It would be better with the Valcon module, but I agree that playing stupid games and trying to 'collect em all' just to make it competitive with the shittiest modern standalone is smooth-brain shit. Yes, the F-Con is rubbish features wise and I need it gone. I looked at Link Kurofune as a quick and easy remedy to the F-Con as its straight plug into the loom, however it doesn't offer VVT-i mapping from what I've found. Solution is replacement modern standalone (as you said). It will happen at one point, but a running (legal) car feels like a rarity in my life and for now, I'm just riding the good times. Lmao I'm not even a zoomer, plus its not a gaudy enough colour with tilty 19s jammed up in the guards to be peak zoomermobile.

    Gonna make it a habit to keep up with the annual updates tbh. Its been a while, tl;dr I picked up another verossa. Why? -Factory manual -T&E aero on it -F-Con V pro, EVC V, / 0.82 TA3410 -80,000 kms -JZA80 4 pots Front. TRD stabilisers, coilovers and other shit Verossas are not popular here so of course the previous owner took a hit on it, oh well. I've known of this car since at least 2009, it used to live in Auckland but fell off the radar for a while. It comes up on a local auction site for 30k a few years back and then disappears. Came back up in 2017 I think and sat there for sale until 10/18 which is when I got it. So until the other verossa sells, I have two (gross). It was a good opportunity because I was able to move everything I've bought over to it and have a fairly complete car. Eurolines, Ganadors, Recaros, Gara, Premium JP throttle, Titan exhaust, etc etc. I've put some Bosch EV14s in it and had it tuned. Makes fuck all power (330 atwhp/ 17psi) which I blame on the F Cons lack of VVT-i map without a valcon. Outside of swapping in a GX110 EMV dash loom to get a a screen in the car, I've done little to it. It badly needs a 2-way as I'm already over the torsen and I need to get this Ali Titan muffler put on. Straight 3" Ti is ok, but just a lil too fucky. The day I picked it up to drive 600 kms home How I had it for a little while (with all my parts on it) How it sits now Loom out to get new EMV loom in (with TRC, ETCS snow buttons sub-loomed back in). Learnt a lot during that swap since the loom came from a GX110 and went into a 5MT car. How the interior is now (complete) I want to get covers made for the SR3s and some other trivial shit, otherwise I'm happy with it. As i swapped in the DVD player and tuner associated with the EMV, I used a VTR cable to HDMI which hooks into my phone. Tl;dr can play music through the factory EMV and retain OEM headunit. Complicated but it works well. Unfortunate proof that I'm now burdened with two of these things. Selling these is the worst and I hate it. JZX people don't enjoy verossa company. Either that or the sticker tune is too cringe. I think the VIP people let me park there because it makes their cars look better in comparison. I can hang with 17 Crowns tho which is cool Managed to snap a photo with Caldine's Verossa. He has a thread on here somewhere. Beast of a car, think he mentioned its 3.0 and in the realm of 500 kw apparently. Makes my shit feel busted Overall though, I am enjoying the car. I'll have more means soon to do more to it (particularly suspension) which is cool. Its not far from the end goal now. Sadly its a non-sunroof car so at one point after 2021, it would be ideal to import a 5MT sunroof EMV VR25 and move everything over. Yeah I'll be stuck with 3 of these by then, but oh well. Pretty close now..

    came in a container, won the pipe for $32 NZD, total landed cost $200 NZD. Still cheaper than a meter of 80 mm Ti tube which is alright

    Side steps on, T&E helps this car a lot.. Front will change drastically too (and the grille) Will get the T&E Ti exhaust fixed too, has some holes in it but at 2500 JPY or something, it's fine.

    Small-ish update. Apexi AVC-R put in, deleted J-pipe for turbo-dort (kinda lame), some ricey flashing lights and a pair of SR3 Lemans. Certification is done as of last week so I can go through inspection with airbag delete and adjustable suspension. Also put some 18 x 9/10" Koenigs on it for the mean time, not sure I like the look though. And finally, I bought another car.. Missed my gold MX83 BADLY and have kinda wanted a shitty old car again, odd how that happens even after I get something 1J, new and reliable... X8s are being taxed to shit here due to popularity and there is an uptake of retards buying them / sending them to an early grave.. So no thanks. I grabbed this for $500 bucs and it just needed a windscreen. The bundys who owned it said they couldn't find one ( I believe them, they were 300 km from Wellington and 500 km from Auckland). I called NZ's largest Glass supplier and they have multiple in stock for $390.00 fitted. Too easy then, old cruising boaty hardtop to enjoy while I decide where to take this Verossa. Will update next week as I have a Legerfort (T&E) full Titan exhaust for the Verossa and a pair of T&E side steps arriving via container. Should be sweet..

    Nigel, Door handles are fucked from accident by looks of it. Drivers front is bent. Passenger side door is stuck shut, yet to figure out how to get it open. I'll give it a go tho. License center piece is all good, I'll grab that tomorrow.     It's an N761 (same as this https://tinyurl.com/y7qraj3b) I went with the LS because since I saw them on Hirota's Verossa (from 2003-04 ish), I've always wanted the same look I do want a set of 19s as well, Evolution Intensive Hank in 19x9/10 +30 all around is the goal These https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/l365279563 but less aggressive. A kit should help with the fact that 18s are a small wheel on this car, either way, I'm not adverse to 19" and will likely go that way eventually

    A small update, All of the parts I sourced have been chucked on, -Work Euroline Design LS. 18x9 + 20, 18x10+20. The fronts are R disk which is why they show far less dish, allows for 4-pots without a spacer though which is cool. -Kei Office new-old-stock coilovers are in. -Ganador electric Sport Mirrors are on, they look great imo. -Nardi 340 mm deep wheel, I think it works well with black interior especially. I've done small maintenance orientated things such as replace the starter motor with a remanufactured unit, install a larger alloy radiator and trans cooler as the OEM one was getting quite brown. I guess next it would be appropriate to R15* swap it, I want Vertex T&E aero for it but seeing as that will require paint, it would make sense to leave the aero until I decide if I want to leave it black or even wrap it etc.

    Got the Ganadors on, it looks pretty good imo. SXE10 fit like a few people said they would. Wired them in and they work well too, paint a bit later. I have wheels and coilover on the way. Some of you may have seen those NOS Kei Offices on YAJ, yeah they are a bit old, but unused so they should be good right ? I also have some wheels coming, you'll probably not like them but they are a good size. 18x9J 10J +20 square. WORK Euroline Design LS with chrome spoke / brushed spoke wall finish. Up next is an LSD and Nardi 34 Perforated deep wheel and some floor mats because mine are a little gross

    19" LS105 and coilover coming soon. Will get the 19 up in the guard quite quickly, I want to use this one though so maybe Torsen first ? hmm Lots to do. have plenty left over from getting rid of the last 2 so a big shopping spree may be in order
