I really was not happy with that answer to remove the lock nut I hope that no one does that as it could be dangerous. I will do as Gordo said first and see if that is enough to bring my toe in spec then machine accordingly.

Great thank you, And yes I think with out the lock nut they will spin off. I am going to go to ace and get thinner lock nuts and also machine the hex down a little bit. A picture would be great thank you

Shift housing? Do you mean the tunnel I did that or do you mean the actual housing on the trans?

Ok great Thanks, There reply was dont use a luck nut and bottom the hex out I dont like that so cutting them down will be best. Did you remember how much you cut off?

This weekend was pretty productive I was ablle to get the silver car all stripped out and gave parts to a few members here on the page. my motor is now in the white car along with rebuilt r154 with all the goodies in it I also ordered a cube shifter to go along with the rebuild. My New Old Stock vintage 1988 steering wheel came in Victor brand I am having problems with the xcessive tie rods I got there smaller ones the are alot longer that stock and I cant adjust all the positive toe out. I am thinking I will have to take the hex sleeve to work and machine it down a 1/4in on each side to be usable for me.

The left rear panel had a been hit and to have it body worked would have cost more than what the white shell was offered to me at. Since my trans was out already it was only a little more to pull the motor then maybe like 3 hours to swap the rest of the parts.

I was surfing the internet and found some disassembled panasport G7 that will look great with the white. Now that the 7m is out of my garage I can pull the 2j out of the silver car and pull the rack and pinion to move to the white car since its only a month only.

Yea I am going to just transfer the ones from the silver car so they still have the factory finish powder coating.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

I agree with this having a wife and son there is sure a balance with having the kids hobbies and spending time with the wife. I find I am able to spend 30 min to a hour a day playing with my hobby hot wheels or my car hobby. I normally only like having one hobby car at a time being I dont have time to spend on more.

Yes this amazing 7m was so great that it had no cams and rod knock. It also had the amazing ability to cover the entire engine bay in oil and grime its a great corrosion prevention. Look at that cross-member that appears to be painted black Its not black it was a inch of crap oh and yes someone did no mods but s14 springs and painted the tension rod brackets orange 👎

Then I went for a Drive with fellow members Brian and Marc and they caused my r154 to lose gears. Dont mind the wheels they are going away momentary fitment check. That afternoon I had the trans out and now I am waiting on a rebuild kit to come in since they are on back order who knows when they will be here. But then Today I had a pretty clean shell dropped in my lap Thank you Brian So I will be swapping my stuff into the white car

Well its been a few months since my last post I got a radiator and new toyota fan shroud I have since put about 1k miles on the swap. I also 3d printed a gauge holder for brian and zack and I. I also fig out that trunk light covers from a ls400 are clear replacement for the doors Then retro fitted some mk3 supra seats that feel great for stock seats and fit me alot better
