  1. Thought I would make a place we can all post new products we stumble across that are more X8 related anyway, Hardrace has bought out some lower arm's for X81's. i wonder if this will mean more products by them for X8s [/img] http://www.hardrace.com/VEHICLE_Search.asp?Car_Make=21&Car_model=63&Car_Type=596&x=37&y=14
  2. Have any of you used different knuckles or on the ones you purchased and never tried anything else?
  3. Most drift meet's we have string alignment tools and so on, so i guess not much of an issue vs america maybe?

    Fuel cell's

Ok found the pictures Stock fuel tank, but with dual pump's in Matt L's car My setup, (might still go this route in new build) not sure why i had the smaller cell, the plan was to use it as a surge tank with dual intake pump's then i was like NAH CBF and purchased the in cell surge setup and had a 044 in it. then i sold my Cell and it went into this JZX100 FD car, Power vehicles build for Australia FD, as you can see it is mounted directly over the sub frame if i was to do things again i would probobly do something like this as well. but with the radium intake setup witch is now what all the power vehicles use.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

Haltech, but only because there support is awesome, i went Emtron KV8, but that is in the same class as M1 series and only a couple $100 more then the haltec's i was looking at.
  6. Same could be said for people who have knuckle's, why do you need them? you can do backwards entry's on stock knuckles and have the easy of driving..... but the use i see is, grip vs drift day's and different tracks you might not want zero

    Fuel cell's

I have gone fuel cell, but i cant find the pictures now and well that is all LOL. if i was to do it again i would move the tank setup as close as i could to behind the backseats instead of in stock location but who know's really

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

I have been married now for just over a year, i have cut back on car's and have made a deal on 4. My MX32, My Street JZX81, My race JZX81 and then a future car im yet to decided. (lead sled/hotrod or some stupid tube frame fast fucker race car with some toyota shell on top with 1UZ twin turbo at a minimum and a 1:1 power to weight) I have seen my car funds get lower and lower but in saying that i have multiple houses and about to buy my forever home where a huge budget has gone to a shed 6 car minimum with 2nd floor. so the wife and i work out a lot and while i do see a lot more in her favour im not un happy it has put me back on track with my car's Kids are on the cards but and i do see me putting a fund aside of BMX's, Gokarts and Gaming lol so while she has a little issue with me blowing money on car's but she also see's they bring me joy and happiness so she is ok with that. i should also add we have made a new deal i can get a motorbike if the new house is more then 50KM away from work lol.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

probobly because that seems the standard, kid comes and your dreams go.
  14. I know there is a subframe change break in the australian car's and a difference between series 1 and 2, but it is minor and only the front bushes are a little thinner.
  15. i'm surprised there is nothing that fits from another make/model. i know when i got the superpro bushes made for X8 Arm's majority matched the LS400's.

    Fiberglass parts D_ApexWorks mx83/jzx81

All for Dapexworks item's in fact, his probobly the only parts supplier out of Russia that i would be happy to stock his items in house so i did not have to manufacture them LOL

    Russian fiberglass

That is the post showing KFD item's, it could not even support its own weight and as you can see, you can see through it. fitment was worse. in regards to before X100 came around i should have worded it better and had it as before BN 100 items came around and as for the serial nine type 2 kit, honestly the ugliest kit i have ever seen produced for a X8. X100 front lips fit X8 series 2 bar's pretty well so it would not be hard to cut and shut X100 items to X8

    Russian fiberglass

I dont know who told you this. BIGWIN Type 1 kit is original and made by BIGWIN before JZX100s even came around. (now discontinued but replica made by ciscokids) BIGWIN type 2 kit is the same as the K&M missile motorsports japan released 2010 (See picture below). (This kit was then replicated by S9 and by replicated im pretty sure they just buy them from drift house in the philippines) also made by Dapexworks, KFD ect. BIGWIN type SP is just a modded type 1 to look sleeker bigwin went bankrupt a couple years ago and a new company bought them out Destructive king by dart izuami is an original kit it looks like BN Sports type 1 (what ever smaller kit is) but modded on the edges near wheel arches to be smaller sides are like type 2 (what ever fuck off large kit is) pinched and pulled up and same as rear Kidsheart tezuka kit was mix of destructive king front bar with hippo rear and sides you then have the other K&M missile that is a JZX100 kit modded to suit
  19. They are all hit and miss, china can build some awesome stuff if you are willing to pay. when i was getting quotes to get some items machined, they had quilaity grades from A being best E being worse. E being with in 5mm and only the first item checked. to A being with in .005mm and every item checked. as for hard race and megan arms i would say they are close to on par with each other hard race has semi decent rep in the grip racing seen. in regards to KFD Spoilers and arm's well nothing but bad news from them from items not fitting and spoilers folding in on them self due to the one layer of fiberglass, some might remember i posted a picture on facebook of the fitment of a KFD item it was poor. +1 DAPEXworks well be buying item's off him that is for sure.

    [HIZOKU] PIG EYE Streeter

So i thought it was time i made a build thread on the project im working on. Old owners build thread (no pictures showing, Might need access to view) http://www.auszoku.net/foru...r=asc&start=0 Not so much a a set goal car, just something all round fun, cool and a little different. Picked the X3 back in March 2014 from owner Sam First thing i did was bolt on chin spoiler and some flairs I then removed them and got over the whole scene kid STANCED bolt on flare look. During this time i started my project company Ciscokids (Cressida/X Chassis focused parts) bought a bunch of investment properties and shares and really gave up on car's. so of course the car's came to a halt. So this bring me to to 2015 and as apart of Ciscokids i bring over Tezuka for QR matsuri and meeting the QLD Guy's and the scene there really re-sparked my interest in car's again. So start sorting my Debt's and paying them off and then decided to propose to GF to find out this will put another year delay on me getting to play with car's When i got home i went to restore the car to get it back on the road and this happened. It took a year and a half to find a new rear windscreen. the goal was to then have the car for the wedding but delays at the painter meant i did not get the car back for 7 month's All inside boot painted, door jam's and behind doors painted in Toyota Black 202 the rest will be painted once i have fitted everything and welded up holes Changed my mind on the direction of the car and decided i wanted something presentable and something i would enjoy for the long haul do a bit of everything in. plus something the wife could drive. so plan's changed to 2JZGE VVTI Manual IRS Swap Remove Power Steering box People that know a lot of my builds follow silly themes's so like my other car's this is going Black with Tan trim with a engine theme. The JZX81 i have is the same Colour combo but with a HKS engine, having always wanted a Trust/Greddy engine i went that route. So that is when this started the current parts list for this engine are below. EFI Hardware Billet ITB Set EFI Fuel rail ATI Balancer Leeson engineering Alternator swap kit Leeson 2JZ Bolt kit Tomei Procam's (256/262 combo i think) Greddy Timing belt Greddy Cam gear Greddy Oil Cap Greddy Pullykit Greddy Oil filter relocation Uniflow sock filters (yellow) Still need to get a couple more item's more so service item's and a Custom equal length exhaust manifold made Sold off my old Autronic SM4 and purchased a Emtron KV8 Cross member swap. Out with the old I have modified a E7 Cross member to fit/work the reason i went this route was i already had AE86 coilovers in the car and wanted to keep the front end as simple as possible, with no power steering box i went with a FLO's quick rack to get this to work i had to trim it and make it shorter as well as re align the holes tried to use as much of the stock items as i could to make it look like a genuine item LCA lines up dead centre as per the old one, i might need to add MX62 arms for added length but i will have to wait until i get my brakes before i put the front end back in to test/trail Stranded internet chat, IRS is a bolt in swap no issues. Well as you can see A6/X7 IRS swap is about 660mm short each side Anyway fab work to get this fixed, i went with modding the sub frame vs the body to fit this and made a jig to suit. I want to try and use all the standard IRS points in the car Sub frame was put in place, bolted in flat then welded to the box steel so it would not move, then chopped i combined box steal inside the sub frame, and turned two sub frames into one by chopping one as a shell to cover the new box steal internals. I still need to move the trailing arm/IRS mount's back to the original position but awaiting camber adjustment mounts to be back in stock at raptor racing. had engineer go over it and he is happy to pass it. Now this car was never built for go fast/drifting so that is why i went this IRS, trying to keep it semi stock looking/feeling. Problems i have at the moment is handbrake cable mounting points are in the way of the cross member, so i need to move them to suit and work out what i will do in regards to cable's Parts i still need to buy RCA's 30mm ish Big brake kit Maybe swap bars New bushes all round some cool JDM wheels 14's maybe 13's rebarrled to 14's items i have and yet to fit TRD style drivers seat, Alpine speakers (old school JDM things) Old school Greddy gauges JDM Gauge Cluster (might mod the digital part of this gauge to have elite gauge fitted internally instead of garages.

Sorry for the instergram filter's, forgot to upload these to imgur before making them fancy, so had to download them off that to then re upload. Sheeting shaft done, need to buy tie rod's and rack end's to complete but still on fence if i will run stock X3 arm's or go a tad longer with X62. In regards to the rear subframe and diff mount' they are complete, removed bushes put in the new super pro one's, added the camber mod plate's, got to clean it all up a bit but rear end is in for now, have to set it up as best i can, need to order some desk's and so on. but esentially the "custom" side of the fabrication work is done and it is now just neating item's up and painting them a pretty black. Ended up taking the water pump off the engine to replace it and it turns out there was a bit of gunk in there, so going ahead and replacing the whole rear housing and flushed the engine out to get what i could out, how ever i now have to wait for the rear housing to arrive so engine is disassembled again and i will most lickly have to run some radiator flush product when i get engine running and hope for the best. but pretty happy with the progress.

To be honest, the GTE covers of a VVTI dont fit on the non VVTI side, i had to modify the mounting holes to do so. it was not to bad only about a inch out on some hole's but this is probobly something no one will tell you and i have read it before people saying they are a direct swap. Getting the pulley kit this Friday, so hopefully by Saturday i will have all the front covers on and ATI balancer/Greddy pulley's
