    JZX100 Chaser

Yea, should be an interesting task to find a place, but I should be making enough to get a studio or small 1 bedroom for my gf and I. Will get a lot easier once she gets a job and can help supplement. Everyone I talked to in the position I am going into either lived in Palo Alto, Menlo Park or SF itself, so I'm hopeful for its feasibility.

    JZX100 Chaser

Aight guys, looks like I'm coming down south, so I'm going to sell my Chaser since I can't be bothered to bring it with me and try and dodge the 25 yo rule. Here is a CL ad: https://vancouver.craigslist.org/van/cto/6971944008.html. OBO, especially for JZXP people. If anyone in the states wants it, to either sit on for a little while or try and import, it is only ~$12k USD...would be keen to get some USD in my pocket before I move stateside.

    Curse of the Cressida

https://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp?stateprov=BC I think this is the one. Crowd sourced info, perhaps hard to tell how recently it's been kept up to date though.

Yea, it is such crap when they are taking sub 91 octane fuel, adding up to 10% ethanol to it, and selling it to you as 91 octane. You then get less mileage out of it in comparison to 0% ethanol - but paid the same price. E85 is different, as you are getting the octane benefits of ethanol, not just the company using that to get it up to the reported octane rating. Plus, if you are putting E85 in there, you (hopefully) have checked and are checking on your fuel components more often (for older cars) or it is designed to be okay with that. Doesn't help that our gas is a stuuupid price up here right now...at one point someone was running a website tracking who was putting ethanol in what in BC. That might be worth checking to see if it is still a thing if you are concerned about this in the future.

    JZX100 Chaser

Job is at Stanford, hoping to live reasonably close to there. Not to sure yet.

    JZX100 Chaser

Don't be a bitch. Buy and do a front and rear end swap.
  7. Yea, that's an unlikely scenario Gordon. Mostly Canadians flying to India or heading to Mexico if unsatisfied (not common at all). I'm just glad I'm going to have full coverage from my employers when I move down to the States. Your system seems sketchy AF.

    Team Somehow Running Again x7

It boggles my mind that anyone would sell someone a car and give them the keys before getting 100% payment. Am I just a paranoid weirdo?

    Sleeper MX83 build

Can you guys just switch to the Canadian spec seatbelts? Or would that require switching a ton of trim, etc?
  10. I don't think it's much a matter of ability, more so the hassle. I would want to show up 100% ready to rock personally.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

Yikes, 50km away from work? I'm looking for a new place (to rent, lets be honest I can't afford to buy anything in Vancouver) and have set my acceptable distance to 8km (sub 4km to the beach and sub 1km to a bar) ...but also thanks for chiming in Boris, glad I'm not the only fucker here without a wife and kids.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

I don't even have kids and I had to drop projects. Guess I'm just bad at life...
  14. I miss the days when courses used to just be a midterm and a final (or final paper). Its post secondary education, people will learn the material if they want to. That being said, I definitely thought the same as AcidTrip when I read this post.

Yea, he's a decent dude though and has always been pretty transparent about that, with me anyway. Worth talking to him, in my opinion.

G from S9 had some custom caps made for a similar wheel. I think in collaboration with Rarespec Wheels maybe? You could try reaching out to him to see what he ended up doing? [i]
  17. Nah, the dude wanted the weds from the chaser and I wanted to keep the veilsides, but it was not meant to be.
  18. First off I would like to preface this by saying that this likely wont be the most interesting build thread on the site. It also wont have the most building. Frankly, I am starting this because it might possibly motivate me get my ass in gear on this thing. This is how it sits now. Pretty haggard, but I have some plans for the summer since I got a decent paying (for my broke student self) job as a Pyrotechnician. You can see the repairs from when my buddy slid it off the highwayrocking sick modified/custom skirts because the s9 ones were in a billion pieces. The fucking road I have to drive to get to work is a bitch, so this happened. Which had to be fixed ASAP, which was not a problem because I am using the UVic EcoCar shop (Q-hutdont know why they call it that) whilst they are away on competition. Irony is great. I dont know why they left their support car, but shout out to all these sponsors who unknowingly supported me. Also, shout-out to my buddy Garry who got me the hookups at Q-hut. Shop was great, going to try and get a few other small projects done before the eco-crew gets back in a few weeks. My buddy and I fixed and tucked exhaust and I have no pics because I am just learning to weld and its nothing that will make Gordon jealous to say the leastand also fucked my hand up the other week and still cant grab shit properly, which didnt help. Pic of hand just under a week laterI have fucking shit luck cutting my hands to pieces as Zale can probably attest to since half the time I either fuck or have fucked a hand. Also noticed (already knew, but its painfully obvious when its in the air) that I need an alignment. Dont really give a shit about these tires though because I hopefully will be getting some new wheels at some point in the summer and just align after that. Anyway, thats it for now, going to be hitting the Q-hut again in a few days and doing some more pointless shit and fixes while I wait for parts and such to arrive. Oh and if anyone gives a fuck, I can post some info in the next update on ghetto fixing the A/C blower, which I have seen a few people on here say is broke on their carswill be a good laugh for you guys and you can tell me how stupid I am.
  19. Honestly, there are so many people that import cars these days. You either figure it out yourself, or pay someone who bothered to figure it out. If you're in the states, there may be the additional step of preparing your ass, since the importers will probably take you to town on pricing.
  20. 96 model year, built in 95. I assumed USA import goes by build date not model year? To be honest though, I'd hate to sell it to someone here, since realistically I'd want to overcharge some fanboy I don't know or care about.
  21. Yea, it definitely is a balance. I feel like having cars as a hobby is a struggle, but it gives me something to care about other than work and school and helps me get through it. Especially since I've decided to be in school for at least 9 years....but, no more additional cars until I can cash out on the jzx100 to someone in the states in 2020, which should coincide with me getting a real(er) job and then I can build something not half-assed for once.
  22. Albertan actually. I might just rebuild the weds to a better spec...I'm tempted to be dumb and buy dream wheels, but I shouldn't because I'm technically still a broke-ass student 😕
  23. Small update, sold the cressida. Taking so much effort to convince myself to not drop a pile more cash into the Chaser now. Still gotta get around to putting the LSD in it too.

Yea, last one of these I had I just gave away to a friend...never even crossed my mind that it would be worth any coin.
  25. Glad you are ok dude. Hope you can take that dumbass's insurance to the cleaners on this one.
