    So swapped the T04z for a GT35r... did some reading learned a few things calculated some numbers and the t04z gonna be a bit laggy but great top end... i want power down low so i can drift the tits off this car. warmer weather coming pics to follow.

    + 1 Thanks for the great advice! When you mention 'clean it up', you mean getting the rotozip out and porting and cleaning the inside runners up so transitions are smoother? I'm going to be testing fitment in the engine bay of the setup I currently have later this week. Been cleaning oil pans and shit what a mess.

    Sounds good, ya this thing didn't look that great but it was part of the pkg. The previous owner didn't even use it so I'm sure that says something. Recommend a particular offshore brand on ebay?

    Minor Update: pick up some goodies 650 package deal. Garrett T04Z - (its blown hence the cheap price... serial # verified, new CHRA on its way from Garrett) Some ebay cast manifold that needs a porting job Tial MVR watercooled wastegate

    Machine shop is complete. Forged Wiseco piston kit w/rings and pins. Toyota Wrist pin bushings Toyota Valve Stem Seals Clevite bearings - mains, rods ARP Hardware - Mains, Rods, Head, Flywheel Acid dip / clean block Magna-flux head and block for cracks - passed Block & Head plaining Block & Head Smoothed down to an RA of 50 - prep for metal head gasket Crank polishing Bearing Matching Valve grind & seat lapping Now I gotta pull the $ out of my ass.. and still shim the bitch myself. Current blown motor yanked out on the floor and turbos off - it needs new turbos they're fooked. SINGLE TURBO TIME f this sh*t.

    Ya its been a while, I noticed my status got bumped to guest... Budget constraints have stalled the project but everything is starting to flow again. The tear-down and engine swap photos will start pouring in within a week. I saw that they have added a new section for JZ projects.... @ moderator : Is this thread more suited to the JZ section now that it exists, or should we leave the thread here? ... my thread is less 'show-off' more 'make-it-work' for those who are interested in reference..
