Motor is a 1jz VVTI? I started noticing about 6 weeks ago the RPM would drop a little when first started. Now it wont stay running till its fully warmed up. It has a aftermarket TB. Motor came from a 110 swapped to cable. Tuned with a PFC. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.

So it has been a while but.. All I needed to do was adjust the set screws for the aftermarket TB. Apparently that causes a lot of funky issues.

Correct Discoshit. It is the same for a 1j VVTI. So now I'm trying to narrow down the problem. With the aftermarket TB I was worried that there would be an issue. But this just started to happen a few weeks ago and I have had the motor in for well over a year now. No issues till lately. Im at a loss here. I have checked all vacuum lines, IC piping. No lose plugs anywhere. Really at this point I was grasping at straws. So any ideas?

What are you guys using to keep your cars cool? I have twin electric fans that aren't worth shit. With the shitty fans I have ON and going down the highway I'm still reading about 190*. Seams hi to me. Sitting at a light it starts getting hot. I have already changed Thermostat, H2O pump. I have a Misimoto radiator, and 1.3 bar cap. Twin Flex-a-light fans I got cheap from an old Nissan kid. Just curios as to what the masses are using that works before I buy. Thank you.

Drift event photos. Everyone waste money!

Thank you. Debating on roof wing.. Here is another Toyota at MBD that was killing it. I got a video of him chasing me, chasing a lsx rx7. But to lazy to figure out how to tag it on here. And its a pretty crappy quality. I always wanted to get to the NE. Parc looks fun.

This is static. Will make a 500mile round trip no problem. And these spring rates are actually considered pretty light for "VIP" style.

Under 25-30mph it can be rough on bumps or rough roads. Over that its not bad. At 70-90 on the interstate its like a caddy. But then again the shocks are valved to have those spring rates in them. I cant fit a cig pack between the frame and the road. But have no problem driving from Charleston S.C. to Atlanta. No scraping and pretty comfy to be honest.

Thank you Gordo! I have 26/24k on my Q45. Rides nice but the shocks are made for them. T-Demand makes a good product.

    Anybody interested in this shit?!?

Ok.. Im missing something here.. I don't remember the fuel filter on the JZ. I take it 5/7 M is better??

I'm running 215/45/17 and 225/45/17 Achilles ATR Sport 2. Rear is zeroed out (camber, toe, caster) front is -3 camber, 7 caster and +1/8th toe. Nice turn in and mid corner balance. I'm not slammed into the earth either. I have NCRA for a wider front track. Would like to go to 235/40/17 all the way around. But on the front but with the NCRA I would have to run too much - camber for it to be effective on normal/aggressive driving.

Stupid shitty ignition break up under boost

Having the same issue right now. Changing to Super Spark (?) coils if I can't find a lose wire on the clips. Heard good and bad things about Super Spark coils. Anyone on here have personal experience with them?
  17. Thanks. Parts came in on time and well packaged.

    Cooling.

My temp sensor is in the water neck so I'm probably reading a little hot. I only have about 3-3.5" between my rad and the water pump pulley. So no room for a Taurus fan.. Guess I'm going to get a shroud and check into the alternator , wire gage, and amp size.

    Cooling.

I used just a stock Toyota thermo. I have no fan shroud and was looking into them today. Ill dbl check wire gage and I just grabbed a duel fan relay out of Summit. Never thought about the Alternator. And those shitty little fans couldn't blow away a dead stray leaf. Last car I had I used 6.0 lt. GTO fans. But there is not as much room in the Cressida. Thank you guys. At lest now I have some idea of where to go from here.

    1jz vvti Mannifold??

What is everyone using for the 1jz vvti turbo top mount manifolds? All the ones I have seen are either cheap ass tubing ,quicksilver, E-bay, china bull shit or are $1500-$2000. I don't have a problem spending money on a nice schedule 40 wall 308 manifold. But any that I have seen that are worth the money are not for VVTI. This has been driving me up a wall lately. I like the DOC 1j twin scroll that actually has a divided collector and not just a TS flange. But again.. its not for the VVTI. So my question is what's the consensus on manifolds around here?

    Z32 Sumitomo 30mm front calipers - Sold

Do you still have these? Again after asking the seller to measure in the correct place and being assured that the opening for the rotor was 35mm. I got a set of 26mm calipers. Trying to get a refund/return going now.

    Working Speedo.

I dug up some part numbers and I think I have the parts I need to make the 92 analog speedo work. This will hopefully get me from the R154 to the stock Cressida cable. Can anyone confirm? Cable part number: 83710-14800 The 90* from the auto part number: 83770-30070.

Cool. Then I can use the elbow from the w58 for the r154. One less thing to buy.
