  1. Good luck, I've got a complete car that I couldn't get 300 for. So it's just rotting away in the blazing sun.
  2. Hey guys, so its been a while since I've updated on my build or anything like it so here's what has been going on. After my red cressida got rear ended in the great socal asshole traffic one fine morning, everything went downhill. I fought the insurance from salvaging the title, and i prepared for the worst by buying another BHG special. Luckily i won and got to keep the car, they gave me 1400 to fix the damages so i came up on that, since the spare cressida was only 600 bucks. unfortunately one day while my gf was following me home at night, she noticed my lights flickering all weird n stuff. It eventually got worse and was messing with all my lights, so I decided then to swap everything over to my new chassis rather than diag the problem. So as all this happened, I got my gf a job where i work (we dont live together, and its not as bad as it seems, our company is pretty big and i hardly see her) so I had the chance to carpool with her. At that point i decided to partially nut up and do bad ass shit.. So i picked up CelicaDrifter's old running 7m super cheap and tossed it in the red cressida, and sold the red cressida. Then i also sold the broken 7M off the white cressida too!(gotta love stupid people!) From then on i focused on my 2j, The plan was to go turbo on USDM GTE electronics. So thinking im a badass, I went ahead and got a harness and cut it all apart. I installed some 7mgte 440s and got to starting For those of you who dont know, If you plan on doing this, USE 2JZGE VVTi COILS! unless you plan on using a FFIM, that of which i was not so there was the first bump on the road... Lucky for me, being a machinist i made it work Made it all pretty.. did some preventative maintenance, new cam seals, re-sealed the oil pan, new plugs and stuff like that Then i got on to turbo manifold fitment, i got a t4 manifold china crap for cheap, and i've got a fresh holset going in i had to convert it to T3 so i had a local shop tig the flange and clock it properly and ended up with this So as this far in, i decided to BAR the swap and put all the turbo stuff on hold. I did the very last bit of checking on the wires and then moved on to the trans Everything was smooth to this point and dropped the engine in... Here's where things got interesting, after days of wiring up the car and ecu into the harness, i finally got to go ahead and crank the damn thing... and as life had started go downhill... so did the cressida. At the first crank, we realized something was wrong, it sounded horrible, so we took the timing cover off to check timing and found something unimaginable... My dam Intake cam snapped! at this point of frustration i was hating this car, not understanding what went wrong, i just left the car to sit untouched for a week till my brothers got together and bitched me out about losing to a car, so i got back on and picked up another cam at the junk yard and started the teardown of the already put together car this is what i found... At some point a clamp from the hose that goes into the back of the head, fell in under the cam and remained there the whole time... luckily nothing else was bent or broken, only the timing belt got stretched out.. so back again, i placed everything back and went on about trying to start it. After a week of not knowing why it wouldnt start up.. i realized that while drinking and working on the car, i mixed the fuel feed and return lines, like a dumbass. From there i got stuck at idle and couldn't do much anything else. I eventually got help for wiring master Mark Panic which helped me realize that i had wired the TPS wrong. which lead me to believe i wired the MAP sensor wrong too... Because of this the car did rev up but only to 4k, the car had gone into limp mode running nearly at 7:1 AFRs (because the MAP was actually right to begin with) eventually i figured that out and fixed the MAP sensor, then everything went back to normal at idle, now the car would fall on its face if i would try to accelerate (completely lean out) here's where i felt stupid(more so than all of the previous problems) like i had mentioned earlier i was running the USDM ECU because i wanted to BAR the swap, hence functioning EGR and all that crap. The 440cc injectors couldn't work with the ECU that runs on 550cc injectors Fortunately, I had bought a JDM ecu and mad it all work just the day before Toyota Fest. So without any test driving i set out to the show, car ran slightly rich at idle because of the IAT that i hadn't installed, but none the less, i made it just fine, there and back. so how slowly but surely i have been fixing all the kinks without any rushing n such, car runs great with the IAT in pace now, Car runs super smooth, great power band, even without the turbo still. This Wednesday i have an appointment with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs to get my swap Legalized Had people tripping out on my distributor without any plugs There is plenty more stuff that im missing, and will add up on this thing soon enough
  3. Sold this turd almost two years ago after almost crashing it. Been building a 2007 M35 for a while, recently got it running. It should be running like OEM if I can get some sort of canbus system to communicate with the AEM Infinity. Full interior, AC, Adaptive headlights, and AC cooled seats. The goal is about 400whp, nothing crazy just a good challenge to build. I had a 2020 Civic Si Sedan I had sold for almost what I paid for it thanks to this crazy car market and got this sweet ass E55. It makes tons of power, 4 doors, sunroof, and big ass brakes!

you don't need more power than that... anything more and the car just becomes unstable and squirrely. Sounds cool but, driving a car that is trying to kill you all the time is exhausting.

Did you get a new wiring harness with the link ecu? are you still using stock fuel pump relay and power cables? sell the car man, you're just wasting time on unnecessary frustration.

Gordo, this is a lost cause.. this cheap fuck will cry about it twice as long as it takes just to buy them so his car can just sit around not running "lowered"

Interesting how you didn't go with the OEM sensors that work from factory.

New Look / Same Poor Taste

I did all that and had the diff built, the diff let me get up there to 100 before vibrations Prior to my R154 i had blown up 1 w58 under heavy load, and two others from vibrations... I think it has to do with driveline angle, seems like that is why a two piece fixed this guy's issue. I'm curious if XM sorted all that out with the engine mounts, trans mount, and MK3 diff weld on kit... but if they did "test it" parc isn't probably big enough to get those high speeds. Not to mention the *off road use only. But who cares, I sold my pile months ago.

yep, i had the same shit over 90mph... also had a one piece shaft, new from driftlotion. had it re-checked by a local company and it all checked out fine.. never figured out the problem.

I gave brian the file to replace the clock, it's the best not in the way place. Your stereo should have a clock anyways. Also, just get a Can Bus gauge.
  17. okay ladies, I am currently making brackets for the ls400 to fit the cressida. Now I am only on here for some input, since I'm planning to have someone take the design and make lots of them, it wouldn't hurt to see what the possible customers think about them before i make a final design. Only concern I have come up with is the location, calipers are both labeled L/R and the bolting side is offset from the middle like so on the stock ls400 they sit like this with the bleed valve pointing up like all calipers, but the location on the cressida come out like this. now this would be impossible to bleed properly, but still in fact is the left caliper on the left wheel. fixing this would just be by switching sides but like i said before the calipers are offset and would seem like they just dont belong at a different angle.. here's the left caliper on the right side. the brackets im making are interchangeable and can just switch the calipers around to accommodate the bleeder valve but i feel that the position of the of the left caliper on the left wheel would be better, because of the offset calipers... Any input on this? here are some more pictures gs300 discs vs stock

Stopping power, LS400 calipers on X8

You forgot this is a place for people that still own Cressidas... I wont bother asking if you lost your mind, I know you did. I paid 100 bucks for calipers rotors and if it's costing you more, do not "plan" on these brakes.

Stopping power, LS400 calipers on X8

Hey Guys, I finally found someone to make these if anyone is interested 140 a set (plus shipping,) no hardware. I sold my car a few months ago but these held up since I posted this just fine. I took the car to Buttonwillow and beat the shit out of it, as well as 15K miles regular driving.

    Sleeper MX83 build

Damn, I forgot how expensive that clutch was. I really liked the one I had in my car and it handled great until I was making 580ish to the wheels and tried to abuse it. I have another one for a far in the future build. This next IS300 I'm going with the McLeod RST Twin Disc, they're local and damn are they giving me a hell of a price.

We need to plan something better than toyotafest. I think it's just a waste of time for the whole day, stopping by for an hour or two and then getting the fuck out of there is way better.
