SERIALNINE X8 TYPE II VIDEO
brian replied to Gseventythree's topic in Cressida Mark II Chaser Cresta Verossa IS Altezza
Yeah pretty much. I wanted to order some subframe spacers for my JZX81 and started to see what was still out there and then immediately remembered how I hate them. S9 has their aluminum set for $350... then I looked up the old thread when he first released them and the group buy price was $200. I understand it was a group buy, for JZXP members, first run, etc, etc, but a 75% price increase in 9 years is steep IMHO. I don't run a part manufacturing business so what do I know, but as a consumer it just seems like they're just charging $350 because they can. Also, their Aristos aren't going to ship themselves to Tokyo Auto Salon now are they? Xcessive still sells theirs for the same price they did 7 years ago at $145. I am sure aluminum will still feel slightly more solid than the "hard poly", but it's not worth a $205 premium. -

Just wanted to follow up with the whole fog light thing for people finding this thread on Google. The fog lights are from a Mazda MPV and they're around $50 used https://www.google.com/search?q=stanley+p0285&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X Serial Nine still sells them for $300 new and don't disclose what they are directly http://shop.serialnine.com/products/mx83/aero/fog-lights -
lol they're pink and that's all i had laying around since these wheel don't accept toyota lugs.

got some new wheels. 18x8, 18x9 SSR MS1. Don't know offset yet, didn't look. Got a fairly good deal on them, one has a small dent that I need to have fixed. Also can't really run these until I get coilovers for more front camber and roll the fenders a little. But overall I think they look ok on a JZX81.

Anyone know the flow rate of the factory JZX81 pump?

Well if it winds up being the same pump as the MX83 then that would be pretty funny. I remember back in the dark ages (early 2000s forums) the common sentiment was if youre swapping in a 1JZ you better upgrade your pump ASAP or it will lean out bro! Not safe [early 2000s meme]!

Love it!! -
The fuel pump, not the engine.

so to follow up on this thread (because i found it in a google search just now), his issue was a shitty harness. if you put pressure on it all the injectors starting working again. so i ziptied it to his strut tower and the car ran fine under boost.

$14k? some dude from ohio that doesn't use social media? probably a dealer who shipped it out of the country. those badges would be like $30 each. -

This car has a habit of falling off the face of the earth. When I sold it in 2006 it disappeared until 2012 and then went through three owners to wind up as you see above. Im sure well see this thing again in few years in one form or another. -
