    Hey bros. I've been collecting parts for my gx100 for a minute now. Basically I bought a shell GX100 that was brought in from japan through a engine importer. No power train, lights, seat belts, front doors etc.. so it'd clear customs as parts. Well it did so now I have this awesome expensive shit box that will never ever be road legal. so whatever I guess ill drift it to death when its done. when I got the shell after loose cosmetic stuff recieved separately had been installed. total grandma spec. and then the parts started piling up.

    yeah sure is. A few of us bought cars but the importer got lazy on the dis-mantling. I originally was waiting on another car. This is the only jzx that made it through. When durdan moved back to FL I got it off of him. Lmao, Mats didn't really follow through with all the precautions. I think he heat taped everything but didn't try a serious heat shield or re routing anything. The waste gate was right by the booster in his setup. Because his car is already a full on FD car he just went floor mount and didn't continue dicking with the stock shit. I want to re position the gate, ceramic coat manifold if time permits, build heat shield, wrap, turbo blanket etc.... that and I have an Origin hood coming with the rear position heat vent cowl thing. And IF none of that shit works I'll have a hella flush swag status >9000 chase bays booster delete/wilwood master with remote reservoir on standby. and further more if that shit sucks which it will most likely. I will try a swing down setup or a boat anchor to throw out the window. and that is where I am at.

    Thanks, I thought about that immediately. single piston master is so sketchy. the more and more I think about it I will probably go swing down race car stuff. I just want a lot of options when I put the car together, I'll re do the upper wastegate first and see if I melt the booster like Mats baribeau does. If it holds up then that'll be the end of it. Just in case im going to have all the manual brake stuff with a couple of different masters mocked up and ready to drop in as a last resort until the car goes full retard. I work 3 weeks in the field and usually only have 5 solid days off. So its always hectic and I don't have time to re order shit and test etc...

    Yeah im worried about it gordo. I'll try a few different master cylinders and shit. Maybe try to re route the upper wastegate away from the booster also. If it doesn't panout ill go to a full swing down setup.

    thanks dudes. its a tex racing t101a. and i'm using the stock pedal assembly just got the twins turbo tilton clutch master and chase bays booster delete. see how it pans out. Hopefully on my days off in two weeks I can start posting some actual progress instead of a bunch of pieces.

  12. As most of us know by now the x7 3rd member grenades at 400whp or so. It has been discused and the solution was decided more or less that a JDM kouki gx71 rear end is what you need after a certain point. I've tried to purchase one but it'll run you over 1000usd shipped, and I can't read japanese but the are 2 different versions at least. And axle variations besides the obvious ratio/ lsd stuff. the ony thing I can relate to is my friends with corollas constantly blowing their own stuff up. One solution found was to replace the toyota crush sleeve infont of the pinion with a solid piece and shim for pattern depth, this really make a huge differance for the turbo/1uz guys. Sounds great to me but has anyone ran across a off road company that offers this or similar part for the 7.5 diff? the other "solution" I'm considering is cutting the whole center out of the rear crossmember and frankenstien some shit to work with a mkIII supra diff. The only reason I hesitate to do this is on a drift car I like to keep parts somewhat off the shelf, for quick repairs and shit. after blowing up my ring & pinion 2 events back to back I'm tired of this shit.

  14. Keep finding scans of the JZX100 FSM on google/jzxworld/toymods. I don't have a factory engine harness to trace pins with and fuck tearing everything apart and running new connectors. Car is using a Pro efi with flying lead harness so I don't want to purchase a stock harness just to chop it up. I found the thread with the jzx100 pdf download but it didn't have all the gx100 specific shit. Shouldn't be too different but If someone has the gx one it that'd be pretty bad ass. basically I need something like this with plug identification but for my car-
  15. Thanks man. Yep that's it. The ecu is still there so luckily I still have the interface plugs to ecu. Just have to figure out the pinouts for these now and im ready to rock

  17. aphxere - that would be awesome man. the car came as a shell so I didn't get anything engine related. If you could come up with those plugs I'd definiatly grab them off of you. I'll take some pictures edit- I am running a 2jzgte and have all those plugs already. its just the ones that interface with the chassis
  18. Sorry man that's a jzz30 one anyway still trying to find the gx100 equivalent I need the engine to under dash stuff too. headaches man. It wouldn't matter if it was an all out race car. but I'm trying to keep a/c and everything. Hopefully I find something or someone can post it up.

    Yup, works good. ran one then sold the diff to will parsons which he ran for 2 more years in his ae86 FD car (7.5 celica supra rear end) also ran one in my x8 worked really good for past few years.

    Holy shit you guys are still trying to swap a bigger diff in. I love it, you got more heart than me. I don't know if I ever told anyone but I fixed the diff exploding issue by building them and running the weir LSD kit with good oil and changing it frequently. I had this dive shaft/cv shop to rebuild my cv axles with good grease and boots, and he heat treated the splines I guess. But... after I got over that hurdle I started snapping hub faces off! the lasted about 3 events. I was making around 500hp with 265 tires at the time. last thing I was trying was a ford IRS (cobra or Lincoln) hub and buying a bearing that I could put in the machined out trailing arm. Then adapt it to run ford axles/ 8.8 rear end. but I crashed the x7 before I finished it and jumped chassis.

    i've been wondering about this stuff too. It's been a bitch finding spares for my 100. So i bought an auto tt jza80 lsd rear subframe, found a complete jzx90 Tourer v rear subframe (being shipped next week). Along with some is300 garbage i have laying around. I'll get the car on jackstands, kill a case of beer out and post up what i figure out.
  22. What's up everyone, not sure if you guys know much about me but my names robert and I'm the other American driver competing in a Serialnine backed Cressida. I've had a good intro into pro-am drifting this season with the XDC drift series. As of now I plan on competing in the Fabricated motorsports Texas drift series as well as the xdc drift series. Recently when the Texas series was announced, a dyno and weigh in was held at powerfab in Houston tx. The car weighed in at 2930, with 401whp off of the wastegate. At the shop I ran into a few media guys from maydaygarage.com and Mr James Evins from motormavens and was pretty much told "were shooting this car today" so I was like cool, let's do this.   23. Gaijinsmash, don't bring that h240 shit here please. Here's it from someone who saw first hand. Before people go digging up dirt. 786 tanked for so many reasons. I have a good friend that worked with them to the very end trying to save what they could and yes unpaid, He kept working there unpaid what does that tell you man. They were broke completely. The shop had gone through allot of "mechanics" and like someone said you cannot baby sit all your employees. Shit was fucked. It was hectic as shit over there. most people would have hung themselves with the shit they went through at the bitter end. Employees stole parts to justify "shitty pay" ameen could hardly afford All the customer cars in the front lot got broken into twice that I know of. there insurance and cops basically said "get fucked, too bad". Ecu's, boost controllers, clusters, jdm gay shit, cd players, harneses all gone. machine shop couldn't get paid, so fresh built motors stuck in lingo rent and all bills were beyond just past due, at the end there was 3 guys with like 18 cars in various states of assembly started by other people that had already quit. Another problem was ameen had a bad habbit of under quoting work, trying to hook people up. That never works well. I'm sure parts swapping like ignitors, mafs, stock ecus happend to get cars out the door, but it was done out of desperation. Not like turbo kits or whole motors like some people might want to believe. I'm sure I will get bashed by Houston scene people for defending the root of all evil. They were kids trying to make it happen, and it didn't work. If they woulda got out sooner it wouldn't have been so bad probably. I know I would have. Thanks Leon
  24. We all are Kyle, we all are. Yeah your right I feel like "who is this guy" and yes the car was very hard to drive until we fixed the chassis post Ameen. I have no idea how the fuck Ameen drove the car the way he did. At first It was like the car was cursed for anyone else driving it. I can say I feel a little bad for getting in the middle of this. But at one time anyone that was a die hard jzx guy loved this car, and for people directly involved with it, it feels like someone talking shit about family. Reality is- buying a retired competitive drift car, is like dating a porn actress after her prime. And Austin said fire hazard. That's worth revoking his man card.
