  6. Koyo can eat a dick, im ten minutes away and they refuse to sell direct. OPL radiator 120 bucks, direct fit... works great in socal traffic in 100 degree weather.
  7. So $400. Seems a little late to the party, seeing I showed how to put a Koyo IS300 radiator into the X8 10 years ago. They cost $260. 46mm doesn't seem all that large. My custom Fluidyne for my X8 is 50mm, and the off the shelf nazkar Griffin for my Datsun has a 63mm core.

Another awesome time at the track in the book. This time I ran my body kit. This was a two day drift festival at the circuit in Tucson, Arizona. Cool drift event tech pass sticker: Camp I was going to bring a tent to camp in, but I decided to sleep in the backseat instead. Outside temps got down to about 30 degrees at night, but I stayed relatively warm. I'm 5'11" and sleeping in the back wasn't the worst place I've ever slept. I got a lot of seat time and got to drive with my friends which is super rad. That's all the photos I've seen so far. I hope more photographers end up posting their photos, but until then this is what I have. Pretty stoked to even have a couple photos.

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

I just removed the badges all together. That was fun the one time i got pulled over and since my registration says: model "crl" (Cressida luxury evidently). The cop kept saying that he had never seen a corolla like that before lmao.

I'll probably just craigslist a Toyota seat with the same bracket spacing. Oh yeah, and I need a quick release... and a driveshaft... and I'm gonna go with those ctsv brakes... At least my tax return is coming though. I'll do seats last I guess

    Bought a Mark II JZX81

The service tech at Subaru just asked me the other day how I imported my Chaser, as he points to my Cressida. Then the following day the salesman at Toyota tells me, "Nice Crown". I figured LHD would be a dead giveaway, but I guess not. lol

I painted my own car and still spent about $2600 on materials. lol. I probably could've saved ~$900 going with a cheaper base, but yeah, pump up those numbers for paint. $600 is enough to get you masking paper, tape, sandpaper, gloves, thinner, tack cloth and other prep/cleaning materials (slight exaggeration, but not far off). Edit: Just saw you were only spraying a couple parts. Just gonna leave my comment for others.

Yeah, I know... but I need 350z clutch discs in the housing of a 2J clutch. Driftmotion will mix and match the parts for you, and yeah, it's right around $1700. The $2300 includes the tilton throwout bearing, the master cylinder and the clutch line.

Thankfully I do have an autobody butt buddy. I don't feel like dragging my car to his shop in downtown Seattle though. I'll probably go to Wesco and have them put the stock color in some cans and just make a ghetto paint booth in my garage. I'm not repainting the whole car, just color matching the bumper and engine bay to the existing paint.

You can't get much of a paint job for $600 unless you have a but buddy in the business. Well, not one that would look as good as $2600 seats, or $3200 wheels & tires.

Thanks Zach. I'm realizing that I'm not going to have this car ready for the spring/summer, which is bumming me out. I still need: Seats: $2600 or so Clutch: $2300 Wheels and tires: $3200 Paint: $600?? Oh well

  23. Lot of Californians moving to Arizona. Not cool for the reasons Chris stated above.

Good to know Ben, I'll have to hit up some Aussies then!
  26. I'd 100% move to Texas if I could organize the family of 4, 2 careers, selling and buying a house, and the 2 car carriers it would take to actually move. It was -22f the other day and I'm over it.
  27. idk man. on the one hand, they're driving the push to develop a lot of beautiful land and demolish historic structures for condos and cookie cutter housing developments. they clog our roads necessitating massive construction boondoggles. on the other hand, the Republic should be all the great things about America that aren't so great anymore. i don't blame them for fleeing California. i'm not opposed to a lot of the personal liberties they're in support of. maybe we give them a jzxp style intro process and see whether they can cope. if they holler for safe space and protected this and that and entitlement, we can send them across the southern border on a "humanitarian mission" and see how long they last.
