stumbled upon this thread. not sure if any of you have already seen it (probably a few of you have). but it is a JZ/UZ auto trans bellhousing adapter to T56. or at least that's my understanding.

guy is selling the cad file for $20 to have it machined on your own.

 

anybody seen this? i think a T56 magnum would be pretty slick to have behind a JZ or a UZ

apparently it's to mate a JZ to a BMW 5-series manual transmission (530d 3.0L diesel). if there is a compatible transmission here (stateside) might make a cheap alternative to the V160 and R154 alternatives which seem to get more expensive each day.

so yeah, I've always been bummed since toyoDIY took down their diagrams, but poking around online to find a diagram of the door lock and panel assembly, I notice a lot of online places list diagrams along with part numbers and prices.

find diagrams for pretty much all parts on our cars.

just thought I'd share.

anyways, finding the part number is the easy part... actually finding a place that has them in stock is the real challenge lol.

 

[edit] additionally, http://www.villagetoyotaparts.com seems to have years up to 2013 (pretty much same diagrams, same layout as the other site)

so my driver door lock recently jammed up on me and i can't unlock with key or from the inside. i think the linkage to the lock is bad or jammed up.

just wanted to know if the complete front dash can be removed to gain access to the last door panel screw hidden under the guitar pick looking cover nearest the door side mirror... without opening the driver side door?

it's been a while since i been under there so figured i'd ask if anyone knew off the top of their head.



and to throw it out there,

just in case, anyone got a set of front blue cloth X8 door panels they want to part with? my passenger side is scratched up and i wouldn't mind having a driver spare. (heck any good-excellent condition blue cloth X8 interior bits will be considered)

I will pay cash/paypal for good-excellent shape door panels.

i'm in california btw so local preferred.
