i know most people on here dont ever go bigger than Z32 brakes, but for those who do. what brake master cylinder upgrade do you use? im guessing the cressida bmc is a 7/8 diameter so i would like something that's at least a 1".

From left to right
1. MR2 91 ABS [7/8"] (aisin)
2. 4runner 94 non-abs [1"] (Jobber) from toms
3. 4runner 94 non-abs [1"] (aisin)
4. 4runner 94 ABS [1" 1/16] (aisin)
im thinking the 4runner ones should fit since it has the 4 bolt early 90s toyota bolt pattern. but im definitely going to try the stock one first.

from experience pushing 12 pistons with the stock master, it still felt great to me, I'm sure it wouldn't change too much.

Already have a 4-Runner 1" unit sitting here, new in the box, but I'll have to run down one of the larger ones.

back at the shop where i work at we installed these same evo9 brakes on a s14. the brakes felt weak with the stock 7/8 mc. a week after we installed a z32 1" master on the same car and it made a huge difference. i would post a picture but everyone knows how a s14 and evo brakes look like.

I have the GT-R calipers on now, but my stock master is bypassing internally, so it's got to go.
I do have aftermarket brake lines, and that took a lot of the softness out, but I don't like being so close to having the pedal bottomed out under hard braking.
I am also having to go to the AW11 booster to gain a little clearance for the ITBs.

is the extra 1/16" worth $70? i doubt the pedal feel will be firmer from that extra bit...

Firmness comes from better lines, a good bleed job, and caliper rigidity.
Volume makes for less pedal travel, and increased required foot pressure.

I used to have the codes hid somewhere on my hard drive, if I can find their secret hiding spot.
