Not sure what the fuck 'dis' means, but yes, electronic speed sensors in the tail shaft feed the R154 trans ECU, and prevents down shifting.
XM makes a kit that allows the override of this feature, and will let you shift right from 5th to 1st if you want to.
But beware, it also eliminates the speed limiter, and will allow the car to go over the factory 120 mph speed cut.

^ No code 42 is for when your inputshaft bearings exceed tolerences, commonly mistaken for a bad throw out bearing. Your best bet is to clear the code and just hope it doesn't come back
