If your talking about factory powder coat on aftermarket rims, stripper won't hardly touch that crap.
Sand blasting is as about as useless.
The quickest way I have found to remove it is with a acetylene torch.
Get a nice sharp blue flame, and run it quickly over the powder coating.
The shit pops off like popcorn.
Don't run it over any bare aluminum.
Works like a fucking flaming erraser.
What little spots is left then come off fairly easy with coarse sand paper.

i like the idea.
yeah it took me 3 hrs to take out some of the paint off with sand blast.
what hapends of the torch touches the bare aluminum for just a sec?

theres special wheel paint stripper yes it works and if it dosnt just sand the shit off with 200 grit and work up. and get the special wheel clear 2 part clear after polishing

yeah i tried taking the "paint" off some really curbed and pitted AVS5's. haha no fucking way. stripper and normal sandblasting was no match for that powdercoating they use.
had to pay an old resto shop to heavy bead blast them, it was the only way.

Doesn't really hurt it but the aluminum will heat up quite quickly, so just be careful.
I had brought in a 10 spoke version of the RS-8s for my pickup, called Decem-10s.
And tried everything to get that crap off the center sections, nothing was working.
Then a local racer buddy turned me on to the torch thing.
The powder coating expands way quicker than the aluminum, and that breaks the bond.

might be able to do the same thing with a basic torch snout on a small propane tank. might not be as fast as acetylene because its not as hot, but it might be better for the wheels themselves.

yeah bought some infiniti wheels a while back painted black, spent 45 minutes blasting, still barely any bare metal. The black came off in seconds, the grey underneath is still there about 90%

ya kyle i spent like 3 hr's sand blasting one of my rims and its not even finish will post a pic later,
hopefully the paint stripper will help taking off one of the layers of the paint

you need to move to great britain or wherever the fuck it is overseas where they actually let you legally drive tanks on public roads. granted, i'm sure there are size regulations but a small tank is still a tank!

YO YO PEEPS!!!! well it did work but not the way that i though it didnt start to like bubble but it made the paint weaker and i was able to scrap that shit,it looks like crap rigth know but im preaty shure that with the sandblasting i'll be able to take the rest of the paint i'll take a pic tomorrow

Paint remover, nor will that aircraft remover work, just pay some one to torch them for you, or do it yourself.
