5-speed swap wont start

i got my wife to turn the key while i check voltage on the battery. it drops down to 11.8v-11.9v when she's turning the key.

Try jumping the starter off the battery

they have rare earth permanate magnets, that break like glass.........
Most likely the contacts on the solenoid are fried.
Even though the solenoid travels the full distance, there is not enough material on the contacts, and the plunger is bottoming out before the contacts do.
Take it apart, you will see.
They used to sell replacement contacts for these starters, but I have no clue where to look for them, maybe NAPA.
I have one set of contacts set asside for myself, but otherwise, you will need to either find an old starter with good contacts, or just a whole new starter.
If you find the contacts, also pick up a new set of brushs, and replace those while your into the starter.

i did.. 2 new ones lol! i had an autozone one.. figured it was just broke cuz it was from autozone. then i got one from oreiley's and its doing the same thing

Your energizing the wrong part of the starter.
