Your planing on doing an engine swap, and you couldn't even change a starter without fucking up something ?
This should be fun to watch !
By the way, I am pretty sure that a 1JZ has the same connectors on the starter that the big bad 7M does........
But here is a clue on how to solve your blowing fuze problem........
Find an on-line wiring diagram for the Cressida, or better yet, BUY one.
That way when you do your swap, and the tail lights don't work, at least you can look in the manual and find the problem without asking someone to hold your hand on a forum.
Oh, and you just may need to buy a VOM.
Kind of goes with checking electrical systems....
Last but not least,
Find a 50 amp fuze, stick it in where the 7.5 should go, and watch for what starts on fire first.
Good chance that is were the short was.
