instead of blowing up someone elses ECU with your faulty wiring, why dont you ship your ecu off to someone with a jzx90 harness so they can test it for you?

Or take apart and look for fried capacitors? That's the usual suspect, right? You shouldn't be able to miss them, just did this on a 92 Honda accord tcu and replaced capacitors with ones from fryes, 2600 miles later things are great. 6 bucks, fifteen minutes. I would look through a 7m ecu first for caps with the same values, since you probably have one laying around, not sure if you'll find a match though.

Can you read the values on the burnt capacitors? I have a abs unit and 7m ecu apart right in front of me. I can look for them in there. Replacing them is so simple. Even if you have to buy them, it shouldnonly hemline $10 in parts. Seriously, it's worth a shot. Since you already have your mind set on buying another one, what would it hurt to fuck up that one or possibly fix it. If you can't solder, look it up on you tube and practice on something. I did it and I fucking suck at life in general. Or don't and spend more monies.
