no free adaptors lol. I know the site intro sux for now. But you're absolutely correct about the site intro. No time, plus not a lot of skill for that kind of thing. I make adaptor plates not web sites lol.
a little more about me.
no cressidas, just a couple rolling boxes of cressida parts known as supras.

Sorry it took me sol long to post this! I've had the pics on my computer for about 4 or 5 months now and finally just got around to posting these up.
We did the w58 swap using the quartermaster hydraulic unit.
Here's the pics.

here's the QM unit. I'm not sure what model number it is off hand.

W58 with ONE OF MY adapter plates..... lol

bellhousing modified
note the washers under the bolts for the front bearing cover plate. he used the heads of the boltd to rest the quartermaser unit on. I had my doubts, but he's had 0 issues and he drives the piss out of the car on a daily basis.

the ball for locating the QM unit was welded to the steel plate.

R154, heavy gay ass clunky pieces of hard shit. W58 smooth butter shifts. I'll be home shortly, hopefully you got my kit ready.

Funny thing is there are more people here and supra mania breaking or fixing r154s than w58s. I had a W58 bolted to my 7mgte boosted 16-18psi for 6months and the gear box was still stout. The clutch was toast though after all the 2nd and 3rd gear burnouts.

I've noticed the same thing. When I first bought my swap, it came with a W58. Everyone told me that I had better sell it and buy a R154. But all I see is people killing they're R154's.
What is it that's supposed to make the W58 weak and the R154 strong?
