I'm Jake I'm from Washington but I live in Eugene I'm 18 years old and this is my X8. It was previously lowill's but I bought it from someone else in Battle Ground. This is my first whip and I know they aren't a simple build but that's part of my motivation. But the main reason I chose the X8 is about a year ago I met Mitch and I got a chance to ride along drifting with him in the mountains. I'm broke as shit but I don't buy cheap parts so plans are S9 catalog, 1j and a lot of fabbed shit. My dads helping me on the build and he's an expert fabricator which is his current job and also did body work for 20 years. It's a stock 7m and auto but it came with a 3" cat back not sure why you need it on a 7m but less work when the jz swap comes along.

some pics of the bucket

I've only had it for 6 days so far I've corrected the rear tow and camber was -6 now -2 and removed weak ass stickers. and upon further inspection of the car found I have a cracked subframe and a torn axle boot. And it looks like its been torn for a while there's metal shavings on my exhaust so it looks like I need a new axle too.

Its cool your dads a fabricator, thats really gonna help you on the build. Make sure he teaches you a lot of shit while doing it.
These cars are a bitch, have fun learning.

I think Guy Smilie put it best:

...These things are very trying and wear down your soul. I have been daily driving my 2JZGTE cress for a few months now and have already had to have my engine back out 2 times for DUMB shit, and this morning on my way to work..... my transmission started to make bad noises. These things will kill your will to live.

But they do sound good.

Like mitch said, dont be a retard and you should do ok.

On a personal note. I know that road, I know where it leads, and I know what got you interested in the cress. Please dont burn that area more than it already is. I would like to return there someday and NOT get pulled over by rangers every 10 minutes for driving an import.

That's why I wanted an X8 is to learn and if I'm going to invest time and money might as well be into something badass. And yeah for sure I've heard it's been getting bad out there local Honda owners go up there with there loud shit exhaust and tear ass causing the locals to hate imports.

I wanted to learn to read, so I picked up a copy of "War and Peace"

I'm skeptical. Prove me wrong.

Normally I'd make fun of you for brospeak and Dale avatar, but you may get good guidance from Mitch.
More awesome than a robot caveman punching God in the dick.
